Time for Little Rock Station to Find a New Home
KATV/Channel 7/Little Rock is looking for a new home. Since the station's building has been eyed as part of the Little Rock "tech park" being developed the station says it needs 3 years to find a new building. Arkansas Business reports both sides have negotiated a deal for the stations current building and KATV will need at least 3 years to determine if it wants to build a brand new facility or convert an existing building to suit its needs. KATV has occupied the Main Street location since the 1960's.

Seems KARK/Channel 4/Little Rock News Director Austin Kellerman didn't like the idea of D J Williams of adding a puppy to the morning program. Williams brought a puppy into the studio on Monday asking viewers if the station should make it the morning program's mascot. I am sure viewers said YES but Austin Kellerman said no.

Former Little Rock/Ark-La-Tex Anchor Lands in Kansas
Former KTAL/Channel 6/Shreveport morning anchor Stefanie Bryant has arrived at her new challenge. Bryant started her new job at WOW!/Channel 6/Lawrence, KS as News Director/Lead Anchor. The former Little Rock and Shreveport anchor left KTAL at the end of January just after 2 years with the station. Her first day on the air at WOW! was Monday
Former Ft. Smith Station Employee Accused of Stealing
Former KFSM/Channel 5/Fort Smith Vice President Dan Ray Bishop has been arrested on theft charges. The Southwest Times Record reports Bishop is accused of stealing $32,000 from the company to support a gambling problem. He is accused of using a company credit card to purchase 26 laptop computers and selling them on craigslist for personal profit. Bishop has plead not guilty.

Shreveport Station Promotes Reporter to Morning News Anchor
Meet the new KTAL/Channel 6/Shreveport morning news crew. Lauren Vizza joined the morning crew last week to fill the gap when Stafanie Bryant left the station at the end of January. Vizza joined KTAL in February 2015 as a reporter and filling in at the anchor desk as needed. Vizza joins co-anchor Steve Bender and Met Patrick Dennis.
THV Adds New MMJ
KTHV/Channel 11/Little Rock has a new Multi media Journalist on its team. Sonny Scott is a graduate of Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University. According to his website he was an anchor and investigative reporter for Cronkite News on KAET Arizona PBS Ch. 8.
Shreveport Morning Anchor Moving On
KTAL/Channel 6/Shreveport has lost one of its morning news anchors. Stefanie Bryant departed the station Friday just after 2 years. Bryant joined KTAL's morning program in January 2014. In her goodbye to viewers Bryant stated she was "moving on". Kinda ironic, someone in the comments section of the blog post then mentioned she probably wouldn't stay past her 2 year contract.....
