Here's a surprise...Direct TV and Gannett (KTHV's parent company) have reached an agreement to keep Channel 11 on the video service provider. Seems when these squabbles get to stirring it turns out to be nothing!

Station needs all the households they can get. National/Regional Ad buyers only go by the numbers and cost-per-point/ share averages. If your mkt has a big dish households, your station will be invisible to them.
Yes, thank the Lord that the issue is over and I, too, will rest tonight knowing that I won't miss any of the wonderful programming on CBS and THV. I was so worried.
It's not just about programming and ratings... it's about potential household delivery.

Anyone else think it's ironic that Alyse Eady was live this morning at a toy drive for poor kids wearing a $600 jacket? Tisk tisk Ms. Eady. You know better than that.

How do you know what she spent on it? The jacket police must be bored at work today. I am curious to know what it looked like though.
It's about money regardless of ratings. The fight was over what DirecTV has to pay Gannett per subscriber per month. No matter what the ratings. This comes out to be a rather large chunk of change that Gannett gets to pocket. gratned the networks are now asking for a slice of the retransmission pie from the local affiliates, but it still adds up.

You are obviously a man and would not understand. Some Polo shirts and khakis from Dillard's and your good. There are not that many places to shop here so everyone within an hours drive of LR all shop at the same stores. We know where cloths come from and how much they cost.

Glad to see that Elyse is doing so well. It just goes to show you what an education and hard work will get for you. Instead of complaining, get off your butts and go to work if you want things. There are jobs out there but you have to understand that you can't always start at the top.

There will ALWAYS be an agreement reached between the station and the cable and satellite carriers. ALWAYS.

10:18 I'm the original poster. I never said she wore the coat at a shelter, I said she wore it at a live shot outside of Target in Cabot. They were having a toy drive for kids and I just thought it was ironic to have on such a pricey coat.
Either way it was totally inappropriate.

Inappropriate to wear a coat? Please. Unless it was dripping in gold/diamonds or real fur - who cares? Funny. One minute the haters are saying the ladies on THV am need wear better quality clothes, the next they are too fancy. I saw her red jacket. She looked fine. It wasn't flashy at all.

The coat was probably given to her as part of her Miss Arkansas package or recently because she was Miss Arkansas.
Alyse gets freebies from businesses and sometimes asks for them because as a former contestant she had sponsors.
Maybe she bought the coat because she wanted it. How novel.
