So when fox 16 is not even a relevant part of the equasion their 'ratings' are waved around like a victory flag, but when they actually step into the ring for a few rounds mum's the word?
Hey, I work at 16 and I'd like to see the numbers. It was our second book for 5:00. I'd also like to see how we did at 9:00.
Forget it FOX. You aren't a player. Compare year to year. 7 is the big loser. 4 has great July book.

It will be typical comments for 16-if a good book they will sing their praises, and run more annoying promos, but give them a bad book and they will cry how diaries fell, lead-ins, etc. Spin doctors of the insignificant. Is this the year of the downfall of both Chuckies? (Spohn and Gruden)

I also like Melissa Dunbar. Why don't they make her an anchor in some capacity? She has the "it" factor that some of THVs current anchors do not have.
KTHV has too many anchors already. Dunbar could replace anyone at 4 or 7 and be better. She could not replace that Donna girl at 16 because that Donna girl at 16 has some shiny boobs! Those are hard to replace!
I always thought July books don't really count,because viewership was so low. How come y'all are getting your panties in a wad over this one?

There is not a lot of stock put into a July book. Nothing to get too proud over, or too upset over regardless. They even let their anchors off during July. That would never happen in May or November.
You're right there's not a lot of stock in the July Book. But sales gets beat up over July numbers and News Directors and Promotions Mangers do lose their jobs over July books.
Nobody wants to have a bad July book.

I wish we could trade reporters within markets like Baseball teams trade players during the year. I would give a Dunbar and Joey the cat for a Donna Terrell and possibly even my first round pick the following year. Play ball?

Why do they even do a July book. Nobody cares!!!
Really ratings are for use in sales and nobody uses the July numbers in sales.
They need to switch July for another month. July is a waste of time.

Same old story. When a station has a bad July book, it doesn't count, books were sent to the wrong places, nobody watches in the summer, etc. Then why even bother with "sweeps" stories in July?
When a station has a good July book, it matters.
And by the looks of it...wait for it..."7 is a sinking ship." Looks like they sunk right to the top.
7 needs to fix their audio/video sync problems coming out of their station. it is really annoying to watch their station and the audio be behind the video. does anyone else notice this?
yes, I notice! I feel like I'm watching one of those Japanese movies from the 70s where the mouths talking don't match the voices.
it's either the editors are screwing it up (my guess), or the equipment. why does 7 have editors to do their pkgs? that seems so strange to me. don't you want the guy who shot it to put it together? it's their "vision" and they have all the knowledge to make sure all the stuff is right!
How do these numbers compare to a year ago?
