This from a tipster: "I heard Keli Fulton, the Sports reporter/anchor, on the radio today announcing that she’s going to the NBC affiliate in New Orleans ."Fulton joined KARK in September 2005.

It's too bad she's leaving and Melissa Simas is staying. Simas is soooo boring. This gal had energy and a personality. I'll be sorry to see her go.
I never understood why you have a news reporter attempting to cover sports anyway... Melissa and Jancey in Atlanta with their superficial reports are boring... They should have sent Keli...she could have covered the event better... I actually like Kim Betton on the KARK morning show filling in for Melissa...she and Matt have more chemistry than Melissa

Agree with phenyxsports. Why/how do you not send your sports people to cover this huge event? You think they'd have a little a little more insight. Good for Keli, although sorry to see her go. She was one of the few real personalities at 4. At least New Orleans sees her talent. She'll cover way more than a weekly hs football game down there.
She might have to buy a new wardrobe. I doubt if there are too many reporters covering Saints games in track suits. That was her uniform in LR.
I saw her the USC game dressed like a streetwalker. Her shirt said, "attitude" and her jeans were as tight as Aaron Nolan's hair.

It's good to see her moving to WDSU -- especially given that the station is finally starting to get back to full staff after Katrina. Looks like she'll be joining another Arkansan -- Ron Smiley, formerly of KAIT, who's now doing weather down there.

Phenyxsports - I am glad to see that someone noticed Kim Betton. I am not a regular KARK viewer (anymore), but I happened to turn on the morning news this week, and I am very impressed with this lady. She is a class act. I hope that Channel 4 will take notice.

NO is Market #54, now. They were #42 or 43 before Katrina.
Good Luck Keli! You are a talent. It's unfortunate KARK didn't use you more to their advantage. Had they their sports department wouldn't be the laughing stock of ARK.
I don't think Kim Betton will be long in this market, either. She has great on air presence.

Speaking of KARK personalities, does anyone have an update on Barbara Roberts? I know she's pregnant and has not been on the noon show for a while now.
As an average viewer, I thought Keli was absolutely horrible... did you ever see the high school football show they put together? It was awful... Simas is 1,000 times better than Keli.... Keli's rah-rah stupid one-liners were ridiculous....
Get lost Keli "Stuart Scott" Fulton. You speak a different language than the rest of us and stay off the radio telling us that you can't find a man. Take that over gelled Aaron whatever with you. You're not refreshing, you're lame..............
How can any of you say Kelli was a good reporter/anchor? She was the cheasiest thing on television, next to the Fox 16 anchors, that is. Kelli was horrible on KARK's Fearless Friday...it was a giggle fest amongst mear amateurs...that's what she is-an amateur.

if i were keli, lemme think- would i give a crap as to what some disgruntled $6/hour editors and interns at the other local stations think, or... am i more excited that a completely new set of management likes me, is going to give me a chance to actually do sports, and is paying me more than the kids on this board will make in 5 years?? hmmmm....

Keli just imitated ESPN people... but did it poorly. Nobody on Arkansas sports has sucked as hard since Joe Pequeno. He was a clown.
Simas is smart and fun.. can actually think on her feet and not just read. She's VERY good.
The thing I HATED about Joe Pequeno was that the sportscast was all about him.. it was all about how many stupid phrases he could pack in.. and how he could smirk and act cool on camera... it had nothing to do with covering sports.
I am going to miss her and she has a nice pair of feet on her.

NOONE is going to come to broyles univ. except by being bribed with much money. broyles is what is wrong with sports at broyles univ. If anyone had a brain they would dump broyles & get someone who can see beyound their ass.
I googled Keli Fulton's name and happened to run into this blog. I found the comments about Keli interesting. Keli is very well received back here and quite a natural talent. All you naysayers must be boring people. She really is fun to watch, knows her stuff and is great on her feet. Great addition to the Big Easy.
Melissa is alright i guess....just don't let anything happen to my FAVORITE...i call her my future ex-wife...the one and only..Mallory Hardin!!!! LOL!
