KTAL Gets New Look Just in Time For November Book
WOW! Nexstar has spiffied up KTAL in time for the November sweeps. The station is sporting new graphics, a new set AND it has redone its website. The station really emphasizes the NBC peacock, in its station bug and it uses the peacock as a splash between stories.MORE: Looks as though Nexstar has finally build a weather center for KTAL. It's the last station in Shreveport to have one. Wonder what their slogan will be? KSLA already has, "We track storms".

KTAL is probably getting their new look because they are going HD next week.
KTAL is definitely making some incredible headway. They possess some of the most up-to-date equipment in the market, and the new graphics pack and remodeled set top off the look of a station that is making strides in the ARK-LA-TEX and their hard work is starting to pay off, and people are starting to take notice. I tip my hat to the team at KTAL and their parent company NEXSTAR.!
Their Web site still doesn't have streaming video... which, oh, almost every other station in the country has.
they needed a new look desperately as Today's THV needs one too, their "portable desk" is a joke!
I have lived in Bossier for 15 years and hav always watched channel 3 for my news in the evening. I always thought KTAL was a Texarkana station??
I will say I watch them early in the morning now, and have to agree, the new look is working on me, but the 6, 10 are not as good as the early shows.
they are mostly shreveport/ texarkana. I don't like their weather because I don't think it's as professional plus they don't give percentages. Also you want more local weather than national. Their desktop program is neat though, the other 2 stations may have better websites but do they have a weather desktop program???

Looks a lot like the KTVE graphics over in Monroe. I think they are the same weather backgrounds, actually.
KTAL has Rick Boone, and he is a future star. Todd Warren is the best of some of the worst weather people in the business. The morning show is by far KTAL's best show with Shannon/Ruston. I love channel 6 and hope them the best.
