Scott Gets Interview With Huckabee

Just in time for sweeps, KTHV is promoting an interview to be aired with Governor Mike Huckabee. Recent THV re-hire, Dawn Scott, sat down with the governor. Will Arkansans learn what Huckabee plans to do in the future? The interview is set to air Monday night, during the 10pm newscast.

She scored an exclusive interview with Skeletor?

Impressive!

No, Maria Shriver looks more like Skeletor than anybody else, though Huckabee could pass for his (Skeletor's) older brother.

We know Mike will say the same thing he's been saying about running. Dawn, don't act like you've got some inside info. The gov. will give an interview to anyone who asks. You're another notch on his dashboard so to speak.

It's just another excuse for the station's neo-conservative local management to promote their right-wing views and provides yet another opportunity for the Rev Guv to campaign for Asa.

Let's see. Exciting news Dawn has brought with her return.

1. She's having a baby!

2. She has an interview with Mike!

I'm on edge.

Did you see the first part on Friday? Dawn was on screen as much as the Gov.

Anyone can get an interview with the governor and everyone will do a retrospective on him before he leaves office. This just another attempt to hide the fact that they are in total meltdown mode.

So true Ted. Feel good to be back among the real people in the world?

I'm a Christian but a real and realistic one. Balance is the key to life. Glad you're on your way to finding some.

Good for you!

Thv EXTRA?

The only things "extra" are

1. Dawn's big belly. Don't wig out. I'm not picking on her. She's pregnant afterall. And just in case I weren't able to notice myself it's announced or talked about "candidly" upteenkajillion times during a meer 30 minute segment.

2. There's absolutely nothing extra about her interview with Mike. Well, unless we want to count that turkey neck he's gotten from becoming skeletor so quickly. But that's not new, it's just an "extra" piece on his skeletor body. A little nip tuck and gone with that "extra." Has he checked his profile lately btw?

We all know about his desire to be president. Sure he would like to run. He's told many already. It's no secret. If he will/will not, who knows? Who cares? He needs to stop preaching to everyone else about their weight and focus on his own family who could stand to use a bit less sugar coated, chocolate topped, soaked in butter meals. Family first right? Even that's not real news but more than what we're getting.

C'mon Thv. You can do better.

Every post on this vitriol-laced blog regarding Little Rock TV stations for the past week involves THV.

Which is exactly what sweeps is all about. Not great journalism. Eyeballs. Who has more. It doesn't matter why they are watching or talking about THV or their anchor team as long as they are watching...at least in the short term. That is why "THV This Morning" comes to Conway, Cabot and Benton in November and not October or December.

Most people like babies. They like witnessing the "glow" of a pregnant woman and the amazing transformation pregancy produces. Which is exactly why Dawn was put out there now rather than later.

Looks like management at Channel 12 on your Comcast cable system is not as stupid as everybody thinks.

Noppers Ted, Allbritton told KATV to tell people to vote for Bush. It's as simple as that If Allbritton would've told them to vote for Bigfoot, then they woulda ran the Bigfoot-4-Prez ads. Hey, he'd be better than bush anyways.

Good post, 8:14, except that it's on Comcast 10. I think the Spanish language station is on 12.

And I haven't heard that THV's morning show is going to Cabot. I think they said something like Sheridan or Stuttgart or some other S name town this morning.

And anyone know what's up with the "search for Elvis" or whatever that is?

For us regular watchers, it's like super prize month on that show. They're giving away a whole lot of crap here and there. Bribing viewers?

Excellent point observer. Nothing had to do with running a station and yes, she does have soundness of judgment thank you.

In response to the 8:14 post.

Does glancing count with the ratings? I personally just can't watch the complete train wreck with so many bodies flying everywhere. My stomach can take most anything but not that.

Yes, babies are cute but using that as a draw once again is too much. Chasing down our own can be tiring enough.

There are as of now 27 comments including this one on this blog. Not very many "eyeballs" and certainly not enough enough to carry the sweeps. For all we know there are only 3 or 4 people writing. Never assume in life.

I do however still get your point and it is a very valid one. Your input is apprecitated and recognized.

Wow... Just when you think this blog has reached the peak of immaturity and insanity, a new one emerges from the clouds. Channel 11 is neo-conservative? KATV came out and sacrificed any journalistic integrity they might have by formally endorsing Bush.
Although i don't agree with M. Huckabee politically, at least he had the fortitude and discipline to lose weight and run marathons. In a state where obesity is out of control maybe you should give him some credit and get off your freaking couch.

I am original poster who called station management at KTHV neo-conservative. I stand behind my statement. I never said that KATV was any better--it was just a comment about the top management at 11. Do you know Larry Audas? I don't think so because if you did, you would have never posted your comment.

My issue was with the timing of the interview. The Rev Guv was not running for office so there was nothing timely about running the interview before the election except that it provided the Rev Guv yet another opportunity to endorse Asa and try to influence the outcome of the election. Maybe he should spend more time governing the state instead of exploring the possibility of a presidential campaign.

I'm not sure where you came from with your comment about obesity or what that has to do with this blog or this thread.

You evidently don't know the poster above you do you Mr. "Holla?"

Let's just put it this way. He has far more education, intelligence, knowledge, understanding of the political machines in both politics and all other areas than you do in your little pinkynail. Just the little white part that is.

You don't know what or whom you're talking about and you know you don't.

Go back to the couch in your trailer, finally start working on the GED you've been planning on getting for the past 10 years or better yet just grab the remote and watch your football games. You'd not pass it anyway so why bother.

Actually what made the Huckabee piece timely was the November book ;)

Huh. Accusing the poster of not fully comprehending the meaning of the term "neo=-conservative" earns me a censored smackdown? I wasn't saying that he means the Jews are intent on world domination, but rather that the term "neo-conservative" is lefty code speak for a certain group of Jews in government. I have no idea if the poster even understands basic world events. When he was anchoring the weekend news he didn't seem to grasp them too well.

The new THV show is fun! I love how Dawn says, "For more on this let's go to LIz" and then LIz basically says "Here's the story."

WAY TO GO THV! Now if you just bring back those dorky Christmas commercials with the 2 kids playing elves I'll be TOTALLY happy.

You're a riot floaty! Maybe you should float your ship in a little closer to shore though.

The person who wrote that had never anchored weekends or even anchored period.

He is however extremely up to date with current events and has one unbelievable brain and vast amount of knowledge he can yank out of it at any moment. Most certainly not someone I'd ever pick a test of "whoreallyknows" with.

Stop floating through life and paddle or swim and actually get to your destination once determined. It really works you know.
