THV Main Anchors to Fill Weekend Gap

New information in the Win Noble/THV/Myspace blog saga is hard to come by these days BUT a tipster says, "KTHV Main Anchors will "step up" during May sweeps to take Win Noble's place on the weekends."

Meanwhile, in Wednesday's Arkansas Democrat-Gazette THV execs didn't have much to say about the situation.

The key question: Will Win Noble be playing on opening day of Media League Softball tomorrow?

Get rid of Orin Hardcase,Melisa Dunbar and Mark Rain and the sea donkey Robin Low and maybe you can have a good news station!!!!!!!!

....and Win Noble. And most male exotic male dancers/news anchors.
You could even get rid of bi-poplar guys in thier 20's that have myspace blogs.
Or, lazy A-sexual guys that look in the mirror and "hancho" too much.

BJ's covering Saturday early news.

Does anyone know if Win's in or out? BJ did the news tonight but Win's bio is still up on the KTHV website. And after all that mid-week, DG, KUAR and so forth, I haven't seen any news about it anywhere.

Now don't get me wrong, I love Anne Jansen to death, she's the main reason I watch THV in the first place, I've just never seen her work a weekend, that's all. But, seeing as BJ anchored tonight, that means anything can happen I suppose! So you're robably right, I will stand corrected when she works a weekend.

I have been a regular THV news viewer, as well as a friend of the Noble family for years. What I know is that Win has been the "go to guy" when other anchors wanted off for holidays since he started.

His lead stories on the newcasts speak to his ability to handle serious news. His conversations on the Morning Show made the exchanges more witty and engaging. No one discounts his recent mistakes, and those who know him well understand that we all have disabilities. We face our problems and handle them. I suspect he is doing just that.

At 1:40 AM, April 30, 2006, Anonymous Anonymous said...

That is complete horse crap, anon at 9:36. He may have filled in for the morning show and noon, but never for the evening crew. He wasn't good enough.

Again, just the facts here; if the guy got the story right it was a needle in a hay stack. The producing team and those who reviewed his stories before they aired were the only reason his stories made air 99-percent of the time. He had no natural talent for it because he was more interested during the day talking to his rock buddies.

I'm not trying to vilify the guy, but to paint him as the next Steve Barnes is flat out wrong. THV did it's job in presenting him to the public as credible, but he rarely did his job because he thought he'd arrived.

Other than that, as a person Win is fine--he just picked the wrong line of work.

First and foremost I KNOW Win has a problem with drinking and his bi-polar condition. He needs help and needs it badly. He has had many opportunites and none have worked so far. Please someone out there help him, because I feel if he does not have the help he will commit suicide in the next coming months. This is coming from his friend.

At 8:54 AM, April 30, 2006, Anonymous Anonymous said...

"This is coming from his friend"

What a great "friend" you are. I am sure Win would appreciate a "friend" coming to some message blog and post something like that.

If he does have some issues and you do feel he might do something like that posting it here is NOT going to help him...geesh!!!

At 12:46 PM, April 30, 2006, Anonymous Anonymous said...

If Win is indeed suicidal, than he needs to seek help. He shouldn't let his problems escalate to the point where he's become a public disgrace to himself, his family and his employers.

I personally blame his group of so-called friends and supporters for letting his behavior spiral out of control for so long and seemingly doing nothing about it. Where were all of you defenders when he was getting into fights at local bars and spewing racial slurs at people?

If he does commit suicide, then you have no one to blame but yourselves.

All of you are right and I am wrong. He is not my friend, has no drinking problem or bi-polarism and will not do anything to harm himself. Win will do only what
Wisner wants to do and that is that. I think the main question here is "Did Win Noble play on the opening day of Media League Softball or not?" Good Day Now.

I hope Win knows how many positive comments have been deleted from this site! And, no, they didn't contain profanity.

The moderator should probably get his act together if he doesn't want anyone to report him for this, if somebody already hasn't!

At 6:45 PM, April 30, 2006, Anonymous Anonymous said...

I'd bet Win would even agree to him violating the morality/ethics clause. Who has ever said he didn't? Who at THV hasn't violated their contract?!

The point about him not mentioning THV or his last name in the myspace blog and him acting professionally on air is important because it illustrates the degree to which he violated said clause in his contract. There must be some objectivity used here!

The real question everyone should be asking themselves is: is what Win did so much worse than what other anchors have done? Was defending himself outside of a restaurant more 'immoral' than others' open adulterous acts, for example? I've got dirt on nearly every anchor at that station. Any honest THV employee would tell you they have technically done things with which the station doesn't agree.

With respect to the fair employment guidelines in Arkansas, Win has every right to sue if he was treated differently than the other employees because of religion or anything else. The "Bible Belt" excuse wouldn't stand a chance in court!

He tried to commit suicide already back when he was at HSU in Arkadelphia. So, I'm sure he'll try it again if he doesn't get help.

What kind of people would post things such as the suicide comment?! Unbelievable. I certainly hope, for the sake of the world and all you might learn from the experience, you get your turn in the 'hot seat.'

There's nothing worth offing yourself for. If you think there is, tell Win to take advantage of the EAP today.

Who cares if the moderator deletes the positive-- if that's really true? Do you need an anonymous blog to tell you what you're worth?

This is part of Win's issue: he needs to learn that no one can coax him into a fight, no one can say anything to him to force him into cutting them down based on what country they came from, no one can do anything to any of us unless we choose to let events and emotion run our lives.

Good life is about boundaries and knowing yourself. Win has had little of either up to this point.

THV decided they didn't want Win Noble on their air anymore. No law is going to keep them from getting rid of them. Some laws may make it a pain to get rid of him. But no law can force an employer to keep someone they don't want. Get that through your head, some of you!!

At 7:36 AM, May 01, 2006, Anonymous Anonymous said...

TV stations can't be bullied or forced to keep someone they don't want! Laws, ethics, and comparisions to the faults of other station employees do not matter. If they don't want you, they don't have to keep ya! If you take them to court- fine! If they end up having to pay a fine- they'll pay it. But, if they don't want you, they won't keep you!

At 8:35 AM, May 01, 2006, Anonymous Anonymous said...

Obviously they don't have to keep him! Who said that?! The point is he can rightfullly sue.

Exactly what should he have done upon being jumped by a crowd of meatheads? Curl up, cry, and wait for them to literally kill him?

Win knows himself better than most people in this world.

I'm proud he didn't give in and join some West LR mega-church, against his personal beliefs, like some of you have suggested, just to fit THV's mold of a Bible Belt anchor!

At 8:42 AM, May 01, 2006, Anonymous Anonymous said...

If you don't care whether or not comments get erased, why are you wasting your time posting??

Why does it matter?! Seriously??
I won't even dignify that with a specific answer.
Surely, you have some common sense!!!

At 8:58 AM, May 01, 2006, Anonymous Anonymous said...

Grammar shouldn't be trivialized, 8:38AM, but that brings up a good point:

I'm glad to see Win was working on his writing skills. There are a few on here who could use some real writing time of your own. Perhaps you could use the time you usually waste on this gossip site. If one cannot properly communicate, it won't matter how good his ideas are; his credibility will be shot, as soon as he reveals his ignorance of basic education fundamentals!

first of all, win noble is anything but witty...the boy can't even get an entire sentence out without stuttering all over himself. if anyone is laughing, it's not with him. he's got more than "problems"...anyone who would talk casually about murdering someone is clearly disturbed and needs serious help and prayer. you may know the family (and yes, he does come from great parents who are good people), but you should try working with him. he's not the "go-to" guy you think he is...all he does is kiss up to the right person and sit on top of the right producer's desk.

If you are young and single and new to the Little Rock TV....just follow Becky Ditchfield's example and you will do just fine. She got here and immediately started attending a West Little Rock mega-church (Fellowship). She was friendly and everybody's darling. She found influential people to befriend (Beth Ward-Haynie) who can look out for her. Bottom line- she found the people who could help her and she kissed up and fits in. That's how you do it! If you're new around here....follow Becky's lead and you'll be able to stay as long as you want. Granted Becky has some looks going for her...but so did Win.:)

Sounds like Becky knows how to play the game and Win has yet to learn!

Becky's best face is her public face. When she is out of the public eye, she is kinda snooty unless she wants to impress you.

At 10:15 AM, May 01, 2006, Anonymous Anonymous said...

I know Becky. She is very sweet and genuine. I doubt she would appreciate you claiming that she joined Fellowship as a part of her "game" to succeed in the secular world!

People who talk about using churches in such a manner are disgusting. Do you really think God wants us to join churches and practice within certain denominations based on how many CONNECTIONS we might gain???

What did Jesus do when the people were using a house of worship as a marketplace?! This isn 't too different. You people should be ashamed, because you certainly bring shame upon the entire Christian community!

If I had to choose between selling myself out to such a degree that I even pretended to have faith in a particular religion (talk about signing a pact with the devil!) and not making it as a local Arkansas news anchor ... I'd go with the latter, no questions asked!

I'll bet Win, who stays true to himself, would agree!

That guy is one of the few genuine people in the news biz, apparently, as seen in these horrifying blog posts.

Exactly what makes you think Win makes doesn't know how to play the game? He's smart. I'm sure he's known all along that pretending to believe what the Fellowshippers do would make things much easier for him. It's also a lot easier for homosexuals to just stay in the closet.

Not everyone is so insecure with themselves that they must pretend to be something they're not. Those people take another path, even though it isn't nearly as easy as the one of conformity. Those are the people of character. Those are the people who matter. And those are the people whose names are later written in history books.

At 10:49 AM, May 01, 2006, Anonymous Anonymous said...

Becky is genuine huh? Let's establish what genuine is in the business of Little Rock television. Paul Eells sets the standard. He is friendly to anyone and everyone because that's who he is. Others I think of are Steve Sullivan, Jason Pederson...."Wildman" Steve Wilson is a good example. Becky is friendly to those she chooses to be friendly to! That's not genuine when compared to some of the others. I don't mean to single Becky out though....she is in good company with those around here who like her are selectively friendly.

At 10:52 AM, May 01, 2006, Anonymous Anonymous said...

Look up the word "genuine" in the dictionary.

It doesn't say anything about being friendly to everyone, regardless of what you think of them!

Becky is genuine, in that she doesn't sell herself out. You further illustrated my point. Have you ever considered that Becky is nice to those whom she GENUINELY likes?! More power to her!

Couldn't think of anything better (considering all of your negative posts have been disproven), than to make up stuff like a 5-year-old?

Here's the scenerio:
talking about Becky being genuine ...
you are at a loss for something bad to say about win ...
you revert back to the god comments ...
those get squashed ...

So you go ahead and whip out a very mature, "Win is definitely not genuine." out from thin air.

You might as well have added a "nuh, uh ... yah, huh ... mom said!" to your comment.

HILARIOUS!

I've got an idea...let's bash on every news person in the market so we can create a distraction which will take heat away from Win's bad decisions. It's pretty obvious that we're not all saints - but none of US were the ones who posted the stupid blog entry about taking our aggression out on our co-workers, now were we? THAT, my friends, is the issue here. Shifting the focus from Win's actions is just a tactic - it won't change what has happened, or what will happen in the not too distant future.

So bash away if it makes you feel better - I'm sure Win needs something to keep him entertained while he's sitting at home...
