Win Loses?
A tipster adds this: "Reports from insiders at KTHV say Weekend Anchor Win Noble is in the process of being terminated."

04/22/2006 9:22pm A blog reader tells me, weekday anchor Andy Pearson anchored Saturday's evening newscast.

Looks like it's back to jumpin out of cakes, and lap dances. KTHV was way too good to that guy.
I hate Win! He sucks!
Jesus
Yeah...Win didn't know how lucky he was... I guess he took his career for granted... like the saying goes "You don't know what you have, until it's gone." I know if I was in his position, I would have been a "Saint" in public.
Most of those who worked with Win knows he's a backstabbing little freak. He'd butter up anyone who might possibly help him out, then make sure they regretted it later. I'm glad he's going. Nasty little snot.
I've never met him, but does anyone have anything good to say about this man? He's left a lot of scorched earth.
I'm young in this business to, and I've not had the breaks Win has had.
Given the chance, I would have played my cards a lot differently than he did. Seems like he had a lot to be greatful for and let his personality get the best of him.
Greatful? He was morning editor and got moved to traffic reporter. One year later moved to reporter, (thanks to Robert Bell for writing all of his stuff) then moved over a bunch of folks who had been working like dogs for the weekend position. You would like to think it was a jealous thing, but it was more of a "he's a jerk" thing.
Next stop? BOOGIE NIGHTS
I like win. I think he is a great guy and he is a good reporter. Don't you think that it is unfair that he is getting in trouble for his blog? Isn't there more important things in life then worry about or talking about someone's personal life. what he does on his free time should be just his bussiness. I was always thaught don't judge anyone until you walk in their shoes. so let's quit judging him. I think it bad enough that he getting bad publicity over this. then to top that off having people writing negative things about him. So, I will wish him good luck and I hope everything will work out for him because he dosen't deserve all this negative publicity. It's not right or fair.
Someone let us know when they pull his bio from the website, then we'll all know, besides he is not worth my 2 cent opinion, couldn't of happened to a nicer jerk.Im in the building and i witnessed his jerkiness in person,it's all true.heranks right up there with weinberg.
What does anything having to do with Win's persoal life have to do with his anchoring? Did he wear an offending shirt on air? Did he punch old B.J. outta his chair and say F U to Tom? NO. Did he stop telling the news to say "you know what, you all can kiss my a$$" No. He should not be punished for anything having to do with a blog. Plus you can not tell me other on air personalities do not have personal lives outside of the newsroom. I think Win does a great job and did not deserve this.
No one is writing about his personal stuff here, like that when he got off the newscast he'd go party until the next morning and get drunk or high.
Professionally, I think it is safe to say that Win had the tools that could have made him successfull in TV, and he may be again for all we know. He had really improved from the traffic reporter position, even though he still hasn't learned the basic stuff he needed to learn. That is KTHV's fault and the people who did his work for him--some of those people are complaining about him now.
He reached a little success and he thought he was the bomb. Not uncommon, but usually it bites you in the butt. I never heard him ask anyone for pointers or to review his tape or ask how he could improve.
His career in TV isn't dead and he still has a gift if he's willing to work at it. My guess is he'll work on his singing career which he obviously has the passion for.
"He should not be punished for anything having to do with a blog."
Consider this: if any high school student had written about his fellow students what Win wrote on his blog about the fellow worker he hates, he would be kicked out of school, agreed?
Why, on the bigger scale of television news where credibility and wisdom are the ideals, would Win not get punished for what he wrote?
Put the emotion and constitutional arugments aside and this is about business--and what Win wrote is bad business for TV plain and simple.
What Win said is said everyday in many different t.v. shows and movies. So I totally disagree that it is bad for TV cause it's already on T.V. and it's not like he read his blog over the air. If you have a problem with it then don't read it!!! You have way to much time on your hands if you are surfing myspace looking to get people in trouble..KTHV your loss of you get rid of Win!
It's one thing to read insepid comments on Win's blog from his "buddies" about KTHV violating his freedom of speech. But people inside the business, on this blog, should surely understand that you can't do stuff.
Win is not the first media person to get in trouble for comments on his personal blog. He won't be the last.
It's not even about knowing "in this business" what you can or can't do. As to the "constitutional arguments," too bad there is good law out there that says this:
"Simply put, the defendant [a newspaper] is a private entity, not a governmental entity, and thus is legally incapable of violating anyone's First Amendment rights." (Manson v. Little Rock Newspapers, Inc., 2000). It's an Arkansas case, but the law is like that everywhere.
Since KTHV is just as private an entity as that newspaper, they aren't capable of violating Win's rights, either. He of course has a first amendment right to post his filth on his blog, but there's no constitutional provision that says he has a right to be supported by KTHV, too.
So in "this business" and many others, you don't get to publish whatever nasty garbage you can think of on your blog and keep your job. And that's true no matter how hot you might think you are.
It is just another example of stupid decisions made by Larry Audas and Mark Raines. Win should have never been given the position. Another example is putting Liz Massey on 6 and 10. That horrible girl at noon is a joke. Just bad decisions. They know it by looking at the last book. Can't wait for the May results
Well here's all that really matters - if Win's contract has some kind of behavior clause, then KTHV can terminate him for violation of his contract - plain and simple. If they deem his behavior outside of the workplace to be detrimental to the station's image, they can fire him at will - nothing to do with any First Amendment rights, just plain black and white on the pages of a document he willingly signed.
It's no different than anyone else who is in the public eye - you are held to a somewhat higher level of behavior - it comes with the job. You either take the job and accept the consequences or you refuse it and move on.
It would be interesting to see how some posters on this blog felt about the whole Lewinsky issue with Clinton...
well, if that clause were held by a court to violate the the first amendment, it wouldn't be enforceable. luckily for us and for KTHV that's not the case, and so no matter what the termination is based on, and no matter what his friends think about how wrong it is, it's nothing but legal...
Be as it may, 1st amendment rights or not... you cannot act the way that he did in public, private, or otherwise and expect to keep your job (look under the morals clause in your contract). This is not just about some blog that spewed hatred and contempt for co-workers or other people in general. There is far more here than you and I have seen and been told. Win has issues. He should have dealt with them on a personal level before they became issues on a business level. But now that they have surfaced on a work-based level, THV and Gannett will have final say.
Once again, for those of you that think this is just about some hatred on a blog page, you are most certainly mistaken.
" Another example is putting Liz Massey on 6 and 10. "
I can not disagree more! Liz is awesome! Liz is beautiful, funny, intelligent, and can actually.. wait for it...DELIVER THE NEWS!
Win should be responsible for his SPEECH!!!
Signed,
Anonymous
First of all, someone's personal life, such as blog entries, should have nothing to do with their personal life. If they keep it seperate, why can't everyone else?
Second of all, being a member of the journalism industry, I'm quite sure that Win is familiar with the meaning of "free speech".
That brings me to my last point.... I don't begrudge anyone their free speech right to say what they like here any more than I do Win's to write whatever he likes in his own blog.... but does NO ONE have the nerve, the intestinal fortitude or the assurity of their own stance to identify themselves??? If you're going to state an opinion, use such a public venue and pass judgement on another, you should at least be willing to own it. I did. Can no one else???
Wow... this blog needs to lighten up. The guy screwed up and he's going to pay a price.
There will be no lawsuit because no lawyer will take this dog... no lawyer worth anything, anway.
Nothing worse than losing your job (supposedly) and then being picked apart. True, he brought it on himself but it seems the guy has being crucified.
I'll miss the comments by Win Noble.
Signed,
Win Noble
Thanks fur yur support folks. Ain't no way I could make it without ya.
Win
Who's got something against being crucified?
Jesus
I told Win what my thoughts were on the situation prior to posting anything on here. I agree with Shannon that people should be brave enough to at least admit who they are if they are going to pass judgement on someone. Win can be outspoken, harsh and mean, but like I told him nothing has changed in the time I have known him and I doubt much, if anything has changed since he signed on as anchor at THV. I can't imagine anyone knowing him and pretending to not know everything about him. He is an open book and that is one of the things I respect the most about him. I do feel there should be a break between personal life and professional life, but unfortunately too many people are too interested in the lives of others and their own self image or the image of their business to realize where that break is. With that said perhaps people should be more cautious when they are in the spotlight of their community. It's sad to say, but that's the truth of the times we live in.
haha. everyone hates you. hilarious. what a professional you are, huh?
Perhaps the station should send Win to rehab or therapy and not fire him! I think we have all put our foot in our mouth and made mistakes. Funny how the higher ups forget this.
Thank you Craig Cannon. How long did it take for your management to get over you getting arrested for using drugs?
The station should worry more about the weekday anchors and add a fat clause to the contract and not worry about a blog that does not pertain to the station!
I do have to say this, at a recent press conference with a well known Senator who was in town, all the reporters acted like animals, yelling and hollering and screaming at the well known Senator, telling his manager how the shot they were in sucked, crowded around him like they were paparazzi, or ambush journalism. All the big names did it, a certain reporter from 16 was especially violent and mean spirited towards this Senator and his staff. Win was there, and let me tell you, he was very professional, acted very mature, and didn't fall into the whole feeding frenzy that made the other journalists look like idiots, especially to a Senator that might be running for President in 2008. This behavior was horrendous and a disgrace and made the Senator angry, which the press conference was cut off short, leaving a certain Governor candidate without a ride to his hotel, and probably we in the capital city will not get a chance to interview or get any appearances from this Senator in his Presidential run in two years. Like I said, Win was very professional and seeing the way he acted makes me want to go work for his station, and not for the other stations that acted like a bunch of five year olds trying to get a piece of candy.
waitaminit -- I'm not even in Arkansas anymore, so maybe I'm missing something in this story, but doesn't this firing rumor stem from a non-work-related, after-hours fight? I thought talk of firing happened after that, and then the blog followed.
Think about it...you're a public figure working on air at a tv station....the station wants to present a family oriented image...and win doesn't fit the picture...and come to think about it...some other Little Rock tv personalities better start watching their backs.
keeping your personal life separate from work..sure. Harassing people on the internet and otherwise which is what he has done..not acceptable. He deserves worse.
it's about time. his anchoring always made me wonder if he was retarded. this is a great excuse to get rid of him.
Win is SO HOT, and that's all that should really matter!!!
Win
i know win would stick up for me. he acts crazy because he is. i like him, and know that he would do anything for his friends. he has issues that perhaps only medicine can fix, but i suspect he was fighting because he was being taunted. but the blog was stupid. he should have been smarter than that knowing he was under the gun. the whole point of your job is to be known as mr. kthv. if you can't be mr. kthv, then you're fired.
To the post about a fat claus for weekday anchors, FYI there is a claus that states if your appearance changes drastically, you can be let go. However, if you are already fat when you sign your contract, then you haven't changed, therefore the fat claus wouldn't work b/c they weren't skinny in the first place.
Would Win be going through this if he was a different race?
I think win should quote the paragraph in his contract for us that he feels he is being fired for violating. That would be very enlightening. I'm curious if he feels like a reasonable person would say that he has upheld his end of the deal.
-An Ignoble Loser
I don't even know win or anything about the situation. But the sad fact is, you can be fired at any time for any reason, as long it isn't over race, gender, and other protected reasons. So, there's no way any rights were violated, even if it's something in his personal time.
Raines and Audus have known that Win was a ticking time bomb since they put him in the anchor chair. Maybe the Gannett Corporate Execs should ask them why they let it get to this stage.
You people defending Win for fighting because he was taunted or harassed by somebody who "demanded" he step outside just don't get it.
Part of being an adult is being mature and secure enough in your manhood to walk away when somebody tries to start something. I've spent thousands of hours in bars with on-air personalities. I've seen them harassed by drunks. I've never seen any of them get into a physical altercation. Why? Likely because they knew they'd get shit-canned if their name wound up in a police report.
Win Noble obviously has some growing up to do. I hope he realizes that. And I hope 10 years down the line some of these people defending him will remember this and realize how clueless they were.
I don’t care what happens, just as long as I have a continuous supply of food.
-boy cat
win a grown up, yeah right. maybe he can get a job at a college radio station. heck, he may be able to become a college frat brat again.
As I'm sitting here reading all of these comments, I'm thinking to myself....has everyone who has posted a negative thing about him thought about your own personal lives? Hasn't everyone made mistakes that they wish or even don't wish they could take back? Before you go judging someone else and the bad decisions they made on a whim, make sure your own backyard is clean. It's nice that we can all put anonymous on here..that way no one could possibly find out anything about you that you wouldn't want the world to know. Hypocrisy is the way of the world so saying the Win needs to grow up is a reflection of what you're writing. All of these comments are childish. Get over it. It's done.
Again, you just don't get it. Of course, we all have our own problems, numbnut. No one is saying an anchor is perfect.
It's a fact of life that in ANY company, in ANY job, physical conflict, threats and the stuff of what Win did and wrote are not acceptable in the 21st century--even in Arkansas.
What's interesting is that there are dozens of posters on here who think that anything that puts a border on their right to party, threaten people and get in fights is fine as long as it's on "personal" time. You people really went to college? That's good 'cause there's hope for me!
WOW...11's weekend news is now the most watchable amongst the little rock stations. if 7 and 4 would change theirs, there would be a definite race going on who is best.
...in the meantime, the news still goes on!
You know I've read all of the stuff Win posted on his page, and your right I didn't have to. No one certainly held a gun to my head to make me read it. There is all this talk in this blog about 1st amendment rights. What is not mentioned is morals. Probably cause a lot of peoples morals have hit rock bottom. We have tolerated too much indecency and filth. People in the publics eye are under the microscope. Lately it was focused on the noble one. Normally cheating on your wife with an intern won't get you on national news.... Unless your the president. If you want to live the life of noble boy, I guess you should clean sewers or something. I bet you could write whatever blog you want and no one would care. If he signed a contract and broke it, well he has no one to blame but himself. I know I'm in the publics eye and I see patients daily. If I did what boy noble did, I wouldn't be practicing in Little Rock.
HELLO!!!!......I missed Mr. Noble's blog on the co-worker he hates.......anyone care to enlighten me??......
Brett Cummins is in a band? Am I missing something?
I do have to say the times I've seen Win out he has been very friendly and personable. I think that he is misunderstood. We all have issues. Judge not!
Judge not... I like that. Anyone who says that is doing the biggest judging job there is.
Human beings do nothing but judge each other--always have, always will. They judge few people more than TV people.
Besides your Winnie boy on his blog is probably the biggest juding offender of us all.
to the "anonymous" poster that said his myspace name is pushingdeals...maybe you should look at that again. It is pushingideals. Isn't it amazing how that "i" turns it into something totally different. Can we all just get off the man's back, take him off the freaking cross and move on with our lives? Does anyone not have anything better to do with their time?
This can only be settled with a Thunderdome-style battle between Win and a champion to be chosen by KTHV. I nominate BJ Sams, the real Ron Burgundy. Two men enter, one man leaves!
If you look closely...his myspace username is not "PUSHINGDEALS"..it's Pushingideals. That has nothing to do with drugs. If you're going to judge someone, get it right.
Carrie,
If reading posts critical of your boy Win bothers you so, perhaps you shouldn't be hanging out on a blog devoted to TV news in Arkansas.
WOW!
I just can't belive what is going on.
I am sure nobody will know the read story here.
So is it totally official? Has he been fired?
Two words for you...Amy Fox.
Yep. If Amy Fox and not Win Noble had gotten the weekend job, none of this would matter.
Amy doesn't drink on the job.
Amy doesn't get into fights.
Amy doesn't hate Mexicans.
Amy doesn't write childish things on a blog.
With Amy on the weekend desk, Win remains a reporter...and gets out of the biz before this ever happens. There is no way he could actually work five days a week as a reporter.
Hmmmmm...Mark and Larry made a great decision on that one.
in response to carrie.. Win has done exactly that..crucify, post blogs and harass others repeatedly. It's about time he is suffering the consequences.
Actually, isn't there a story about a Win Noble/Amy Fox cuss-out at Juanitas back before Christmas? As I recall, she won.
Seriously, people, if you're going to criticize someone in writing, at least have the decency to use correct grammar and spelling! You're (not "your") an embarrassment to the entire industry!
Heather
This almost seems too obvious to mention ...
but are y'all really criticizing Win for his blogs when you yourselves are on BLOGspot gossiping like little preteenaged school girls?
Thanks for the laugh!
Melissa
Ok according to my sources THV wrote the last above statement on this blog page!!!!
To those who are posting spiteful comments:
If I'd ever worked with Win, I'd be jealous, too. Even at a young age, his talent is definitely one to be envied. In addition, I don't think it's any secret that he's better looking than all of the other anchors in AR put together.
Keep postin'! It's very mature of you!
Iya
According to my sources, Mr. Anonymous at 3:00, I wrote that comment. I have no affiliation with THV. Since you don't have the balls to post your name, I highly doubt you'd have the nerve to post your email address or the like. If you weren't quite so spineless, I'd contact you and prove who I am. Oh well. Happy anonymous blogging!
This has become extremely ignorant and juvenile.
anndra
By making a mountain out of a molehill, the station has caused a ton of negative attention for KTHV, the very thing they accused Win of doing when he finally hit that jerk!
The very people (so-called friends) at the station who are the biggest back stabbers are now trying to get attention for themselves!
I hope he sues.
I work at the station, and all I've heard is positive feedback from people I've talked to outside of here. The internal feedback you can get by reading here.
Not that I want the guy fired, but it's not been a negative for the station in the least.
I am surprised that you people who are so offfended by language and especially "hate" are so quick to use the word "hate" yourselves. What did Jesus say about casting the first stone?
How can you hate someone you don't even know? I guess there are those who just like to sir up trouble (no real life of your own?) "Crucify him! Crucify him!
I was surprised to see the guy Win hit at the resteraunt. I heard the guy was in rehab. He himself claimed to be going to AA.
Come on i await your reply and i know waht to expect and i got a gut feeling that the people in the industry is focused on the blog page,i can sense it.
To the person who wrote about Win being professional at the press conference: that's probably because he had no idea what the story was about!! Listen, I read his myspace page and I didn't find anything personally offensive. However, his rantings (another example of his poor writing) absolutely violate the moral clauses in his contract. He should have been terminated immediately... and not just for his web page, but for his poor work ethic at KTHV.
Blog page can help you make you or break you either way a blog page is just word's with spirits and by reading these blog page comments their is a lot of negative spirits here and i believe one man can smooth all of this over.
Ok now read my grammer!
The response from some of you are a sad reflection on society's rejection of personal responsibility.
The reason Win was fired was because HE made poor decisions. Throwing a punch in a bar - bad decision, no mattter what the other guy was saying to him. Posting some of that stuff on his blog - bad decision, no matter how strongly he felt about it.
If Win Noble made better decisions, he'd still be employed at KTHV. That is the lesson you should be taking from this.
I am genuinely disappointed in these comments and in those who are posting them. If you don't have sufficient information to pass judgement, please do the general public a favor and keep your mouth shut.
The 'fight' was at a RESTAURANT not a bar. Win was jumped by a handful of guys, from which he was forced to defend himself. What do y'all propose he should have done while being kicked in the head while being held on the ground by several hoodlums?
In addition, the blog contained no reference to THV nor did it mention his last name EVER. If you people can't take a joke, that's your own problem. It's still hilarious to see all of you posting nasty opinions on blogger.com about Win because you disagree with him posting things with which you do not agree online. Hypocrisy and irony at their finest!
My former neighbor was a top Little Rock newscaster for years and it was well known that he was a serious alcoholic, so much so that he couldn't go into work sometimes. Others have been caught doing things in the bathrooms at parks.
They weren't given a hard time at all. What gives?
Get rid of Orin Hardcase and yes i think i spelled it correstly and Mark Raines for their bad judgement on how and why the station is doing so bad,
I misprlled the above post just for the fun of it to get Marke Raines and Orin Hardcase reaction just bor the fun of it and i think both of them are a B.!
When John Wayne or Marshall Dillon decked the guy in the black hat they were heroes. Political Correctness has completely gone amuck!
Can you not even forward or copy a humorous email without being attacked for it? Has EVERYONE lost their sences of humor???
"The 'fight' was at a RESTAURANT not a bar. Win was jumped by a handful of guys, from which he was forced to defend himself. What do y'all propose he should have done while being kicked in the head while being held on the ground by several hoodlums?"
So let me get this straight, Win was sitting having dinner and a band of ruffians jumped him and starting beating him?
I find that difficult to believe. I've never seen that happen at a restaurant or bar. In every case, there were words exchanged before the first punch was thrown. Perhaps Win was exercising his First Amendment rights in the restaurant and the hooligans disagreed?
This was NOT that good a job to have to be a "saint" in public and I, for one, appreciate that Win is real and not phony. He seemed to get whatever was leftover (I'm busy with my mistrss or I'm too drunk to come in) and this is one of the smallest markets there is. Not a feather in your cap, BJ and Andy! These people are not in some religious order! If he were in real showbiz, this would HELP his career. You can't have it both ways. Those guys smile on air and treat each other like dirt off camera. Some great job.
By the way, anonymous, Jesus would not say hate or sucks.
The person at the station who insisted that Win be in serious trouble and exagerated the "fight" is known to be jealous of anyone coming alon yunger and brighter. She knows who she is.
All this has unneccessarily caused the station look bad, not Win
"I've heard Win swings both ways...so ladies watch out for your man! "
That's hilarious, firstly because I've seen Win over the years and he is and always has been a girls' guy....
Secondly, because "anonymous" whoever you are - you're desperately searching at the bottom of the barrel for something tangible to attack Win with and all you can come up with is stupid crap, so by all means hold on to it tight...
http://todaysthv.com/company/bios/winn.asp
The station didn't seem too embarrassed of Win's band on their website!
"Two words for you...Amy Fox. . . Amy doesn't get into fights.
Amy doesn't hate Mexicans."
Yeah, but I heard she is mildly resentful of them.
I love Win. I've known him for years, and the only reason I would tune in to KTHV was to see him. I really think this whole thing is a misunderstanding, and I hope that Win comes out on top, no matter the outcome.
I support you 100% Win!
Win's bad behavior finally caught with him. People who work at Channel 11 know he's lazy, rude, and often comes in hungover and late on the weekends! For some reason, management has held his hand (while rewriting his passive tense copy- hah!) the past few years. When he was given the weekend anchor position, so many reporters and producers were angry -- we all knew he had no work ethic. It simply wasn't fair. I could care less that his blog was the reason he is getting fired. Get this -- this guy actually sits in the car and talks on his cell phone while working on a story. He is so lazy that he makes the photogs do a majority of the work while he chit-chats!
I love the fact that many of you negative people seem to have information that only his co-workers would have access to.
If he really was as bad an anchorman as you claim he was, why are you wasting your time ranting on and on about it on this stupid site?
Couldn't be built up feelings of jealousy, now could it?!
Get your own lives! At least Win's blogs were entertaining ... very entertaining to be more accurate! You people just sound like whiney kindergarteners. I'm actually embarrassed for you!
"Consider this: if any high school student had written about his fellow students what Win wrote on his blog about the fellow worker he hates, he would be kicked out of school, agreed?"
NOPE! ARE YOU RETARDED, MR. ANONYMOUS?!
i would much rather watch an anchor who is appropriately enjoying his youth than a married man who has been publically caught in the act of adultery!
I love the gay comments! You couldn't think of anything better than that?! Why don't you toss out a "yo' mama" joke while you're at it!
Re: All other negative comments about Win's attitude toward women, etc.:
If you had done your homework (i.e. actually looked on Myspace to see what all the fuss is about), you'd know he's in a relationship. I happen to be friends with Win's girlfriend. She is very intelligent, compassionate, creative, generous, understanding, well written, and sensitive. Perhaps that is why she and Win get along so well together. I hear he has all of the same wonderful qualities and then some! And, no, she does not have big "knockers," as you called them.
I just wanted to be 100
i work at the station. win was not a snotty jerk! and he's been writing all of his own material! where are you posters coming from? are you confused? we are talking about win noble here. quit lying! this isn't going to have any impact on your future at the station!
Win is talented, well liked, handsome, and brilliant.
He won't have trouble finding great employment in any field he chooses!
If I were hiring, I'd be figuring out a way to contact him immediately!
I don't doubt many of you are actually Win-bashing from your desks at KTHV.
How exactly does that fit in with your work ethic and living according to your contract?!
Maybe KATV will grab him up. They need someone to take Leland's place.
Using a blog about Win's transgressions to bash BJ Sams is out of line. BJ has paid his dues in this business, and deserves respect. Win can't hold a candle to him. Sure, BJ is older and might not read the teleprompter 100 percent correctly 100 percent of the time. But he knows what news is. And he's a gentleman.
KATV should seriously consider it!!
Even if he wasn't talented (which he is), he would still be a great investment on their part. He's got several very marketable qualities:
1) He appeals to the younger generation.
2) He's got the looks.
3) ESPECIALLY AFTER THIS INCIDENT, he appeals to the average Arkansan. We viewers don't want to get our news from a messiah or prophet. When we turn on the news, we theoretically invite you anchors into our homes. We do not want to be talked down to by some snotty veteran anchor who pretends to be hollier-than-thou. If anything, this 'good ol' boy' image should HELP Win, not hurt him, in his future broadcast (and employment, in general) endeavors!
WE LOVE YOU WIN!! HOPE TO SEE YOU ON T.V. AGAIN SOON!! ARKANSAS ALREADY MISSES YOU!!
Obviously, you don't know BJ very well. He's no sort of gentleman! He has tarnished THV's image more than Win ever did!
What a joke! I'm tired of looking at him! Win was the only reason I still tuned into channel 11.
Really? Win is the ONLY reason you turned your tv to channel 11?! Heck he was on 2 nights out of the week. Your viewership won't be lost. He was the worst news reader on the weekend..well, maybe a tie between him and pam smith. He read so darn slow, one could fall asleep waiting for him to read the news.
KTHV is making (made?) a huge mistake!
Win had an incredibly loyal fanbase of younger viewers!
Younger viewers are at the baby-producing age. Could you ask for a more influencial sect of THV's audience?!
I was actually referring to SEVERAL known anchors with the adultery comment; but I shall try to confine myself to your moral code from henceforth, O Great Blogmaster! Apparently, it is only okay to bash anchors under 30!?
What's all this talk about Win having good looks? I think he's gained a lot of weight and looks puffy which isn't a good quality when you have no talent and can't speak or write. Are you people crazy or is Win writing all of this?
Re: the infamous co-worker blog:
Win posted a forwarded email he'd received. It was clearly not meant to be taken literally. Anyone who claims to have done so probably just wants attention.
Re: the shrimp blog
Are you freaking kidding me?! Please post with your name if you actually thought that was anything but a humorous bit of creative writing by the very talented Mr. Noble!
I don't think he has ever blamed anyone but himself for the recent happenings. I don't recall ever having heard him say he didn't violate his contract. Who hasn't?!
I can name more than a couple of handfulls of THV employees who have! The station better watch their asses! It is obvious he was treated unfairly. By "unfairly," I mean, differently than others at the station have been treated.
As seen on his myspace blogs, Win is a terriffic writer!
He's hot, too! No, I don't think he's puffy looking, especially compared to some of THV's other anchors!!
He's got a great voice -- for both singing and broadcasting! What a talented guy!
He's young, handsome, talented, well spoken, well written ...
no wonder so many of his collegues are jealous enough to waste their time nastily gossping about him on blogger.com!
The 'fight' was outside of the restaraunt. And, by definition, yes, hooligans are known to senselessly start fights.
If he had been jumped by some gang members in a bad part of town, would THV have had the same reaction?
Oh my heavens! The third poster agreed with "Jesus," the second poster! HIlarious! It's great to see intelligent minds at work! Haha! I guess we can add that "Anonymous" to the list of people who shouldn't be criticizing Win Noble! And, yes, I'm sure Jesus would agree from his laptop in the sky!
I agree with the grammar policewoman Heather!
To the eighth poster, it is "shouldn't HAVE" not "shouldn't of" like we sometimes lazily say it!
Almost every one of these posts contains some mistake that one might expect a CHILD to make! And you are the ones criticizing him?!
Good God, if anything, the reading of this blog and Noble's blog has convinced me that Win is the only one in the news biz who can actually form coherent, correct sentences!
Even though we're in Arkansas, this broadcast community's lack of literacy is apalling!
Personally, I am more apalled by the backstabbing nature of people in the industry! I guess the rumors are true. Here's a clue for you blood-thirsty scavengers: it's just the local news! Chill out! If I were an anchor in LR, I would runnnnnnnnn after reading these posts, many of which obviously are coming from Noble's envious co-workers ... or ex-co-workers, if they've fired him.
I LOVE WIN!!!
HE'S GOT TOO MUCH TALENT TO WALK AWAY FROM A TV CAREER ALTOGETHER!
I HOPE HE CONTINUES TO SHARE HIS GIFT WITH THE WORLD, BE IT ON ANOTHER STATION OR IN SOME OTHER FORM OF TV/MOVIE AREA!
HOLLYWOOD, PERHAPS?! HE'S GOT THE LOOKS!
Didn't his presence on the Morning Show happen to coincide with THV becoming the leader of the morning news?!
Seriously ... I'm curious ...
Brilliant Idea: Since nobody is willing to 'out' themselves, could you people start using numbers to distinguish yourselves? It's hard to reply to one anonymous among 100!
So, to the 9:48 PM, April 23, 2006 blogger:
"Threats?!" You clearly have no analytical skills! Did *you* go to college?!
It is unacceptable to defend oneself from a group of attackers?! What is your brilliant solution to this issue? Maybe local news people should all wear suits of armor whenever they're in public!
Apparently, self defense is more repulsive than is adultery, money laundering, indecent exposure, getting caught in 'compromising positions in public parks, and acting like a total bitch! Seriously, what do you think WN should have done?
NOBODY AT KTHV FITS THE "MR. THV" IMAGE ...
OR THE "MRS. THV" IMAGE, FOR THAT MATTER!!
I have worked with many lawyers who would take this case in a heartbeat! It's discrimination in its most obvious form!
How do NASTY divorces fit in with the morality of KTHV and the wholesome family image?!
still waiting on you ...
Leave Win alone. I wonder what kind of reaction this type of incident would have generated if the "tables were turned" so to speak. Say another weekend anchor at a competing station was involved in the same situation. I guarantee you she would been spun as the victim since she has sued before.
Quote from above - "Win's bad behavior finally caught with him. He is so lazy that he makes the photogs do a majority of the work while he chit-chats!"
I don't work for the station - just know a few people who do - and the reason they are so upset by Win's behavior is outlined perfectly above. Most reporters have to work thier tail ends off and get paid a lot less than you would think. Win was given a hand up and a huge gift when he got the anchor positon - HE DID THIS TO HIMSELF!!! His behavior put him in this current position. He is just reaping from what he has sown. When you treat people like trash and that includes the producers and photogs this is how you get treated when your time comes. TV is hard work and people like Win who expect to be treated like stars without working for it, fall hard with no one to support them inside the industry. Maybe he will think about that if he gets a job in the industry again?
I liked this one he left too.....this shows Wins professional side very well I think...

I heard Win was hanging out socially with one of the station's photogs last weekend ... a black photog, to be exact!
I guess that proves a couple of these comments wrong!
Dear anonymous person who wrote at
8:49 AM, April 25, 2006,
You are wasting your time, going out of your way to make someone else look bad, prancing around on a silly gossip blog. What does that say about your professional side?!
Thank you to whomever posted Win's actual blog which makes fun of the email forward "19 Things a Guy Can Do To Keep a Girl!"
Now ... does anyone actually think he was serious?! Do you see his last name or THV anywhere on the website? Nope and nope!
HE WAS OBVIOUSLY KIDDING!!! ARE YOU PEOPLE MENTALLY CHALLENGED?!
Honestly, if any of you people in the biz do sincerely think he was being serious in that posting about girls and you can't see the humor ... I will not be trusting the local news anymore.
Obviously, you have no ability to rationalize, understand information as it applies to the society in which you live, or interpret tone (a vital tool, in terms of accurately presenting the news)!
To he who doesn't get the humor in Win's blogs:
Do you cry when you get forwarded emails that don't contain pictures of kittens playing with yarn in a field of daisies?!
Are you genuinely afraid for your pet pony when someone says "I'm so hungry, I could eat a horse!?"
You obviously don't watch television. I doubt you'd be able to socialize with anyone outside of an Amish community. Either you are pathetically sad or you are a liar. I'd put my money on the latter (not literally; don't turn me in for gambling)!
The best thing...if he get's fired, he cannot contractually work in LR for another station or any Gannett affiliated. Good job Win!!! You're a genius!
Friendless Amish Poster,
Please refresh my memory ... where in the blogs does Win say his last name? Where does he mention the station, call his co-workers or bosses by name, or give any real details about the situation?
His presence on the morning show had NOTHING to do with them becoming the leader. The ratings actually went up when he left the morning. Seriously, if you're that curious, it's a fact, check your Neilsen history.
Mmmm, mmmmm! Is that jealousy I smell cookin'?
WE LOVE YOU WIN!
DON'T LET THE BACKSTABBING, SPITEFUL NINNIES GET YOU DOWN!
Win,
I'll hate to see you go! You seem like a decent guy. I can't believe people would railroad you like this, man! It's a real shame! Your band of young viewers won't know what to do without you! You actually got my friends and I (college students) interested in the news. I mean, I've actually turned down going out with friends to see you on the weekend news! You rock!
Who would be jealous of the pickle Win is in? I don't think anyone at the station would like to be in his shoes right now.
Uhhh ... aren't you ignoring the elephant in the room?
Many other anchors have violated their contracts in much more offensive ways than he did.
This information looks rather curious when paired with the fact that he was an up-and-coming star with a growing fan base that probably made several other anchors a bit jealous.
I hope you're proud of yourselves!
i love win, my daughter loves win, my mother loves win!
we'll all miss him dearly!
the anderson family
I've met Win. He's delightful! What a personable guy! I guess THV prefers the image upheld by people like Anne who sticks her nose in the air, even when walking up to the alter to get Communion during Mass. It's disgraceful!
Way to go KTHV! You're letting a good one go! Win's a man of the people! Maybe he should run for a city office ...
If you only knew the "real" Win..the things he's done/said, you would keep your daughters away from him.
He's not the naive, good christian boy he portrays on TV. In fact he denounces religion. In the bible, denouncing God is the carnal sin. So keep supporting him...
What if he were Jewish? Would you be so quick to criticize his non-Christian beliefs?
The Andersons and others posting comments about how "delightful" he is most likely are and also don't have a clue who he is.
If any of my employees wrote this...
"Let me give you some background on these guys, both of my "superiors" don't -----, don't -----, don't -----, sure as hell don't ---- in a ----, don't ----- AND have prolly never ------- a ----- in ---."
They'd get fired. If any of you defending Win wrote that about your bosses, you'd be fired too.
If you're going to say many other anchors have violated their contracts in much more offensive ways, you must fill us in on what you are talking about. Otherwise, you are making stuff up just like other people posting here.
No way! They really have a not-to-compete clause? He must be terrified!
For those of you in this industry, isn't Little Rock a decent sized news market?
To Win's defenders saying "where is his last name posted," and other comments about nothing: you obviously don't understand the situation. It's nice that Win has friends, but saying WE LOVE YOU WIN does not make up for violation of a contract, or a stupid move on Win's part.
I've never known a local anchor to crash like this, so I'm interested to know the other anchor violators, too. You can argue Martone, but he never threatened anyone even in jest (ha-ha!)and he did get fired.
You fellow Win partiers also have to remember the world outside your clubs and bad-bar-band world (okay, I've heard worse than Win's band and I do think the bass player's damn good).
You haven't been out in the workforce a long enough time to realize how much Win's behavior hurts all of his co-workers--that's what we're made about. We all represent the station in a small way to our friends and family. What he did and said reflects poorly on all of us.
I for one would support him if he wasn't still a cock-and-swagger jerk about it. I guess it's a way to defend getting your head handed to you on a platter. I feel bad for him about that.
I'd be calling to help him during a time of distress where he could concede that he made some big mistakes rather than his assertion-even now--that he did no wrong. When you act like that, people will let you do what you want and go it alone.
No one makes a big enough mistake they can't bounce back from, but the longer he fights it, the longer he'll be on the outs.
Then again, if he just wants to wash his nights down sex, drugs and rock and roll, that's his choice. It just takes away the credibility of arguing about what amounts to a white collar job.
I concur..very well put. However, him conceding is not an option. Don't waste the thought of feeling 1 ounce of pity for him. Davey and Jason are by far the only assets to that band. If they were smart, they would find another lead singer..preferably one that can sing.
the moderator apparently only lets people bash WIN. otherwise, i'd tell you what the other people have been caught doing!
there's never been a question of his adherence to the contract. the question is: has everyone else? is he being treated fairly? almost everyone at that station has done something bad.
"threats?!" seriously? come on, people! you're only making yourselves look ignorant!
and i appreciate any commentary on here. at least none of the "We love Win" posts were grammatically incorrect, as were a startling number of the ones submitted by those who are expected to know better!
OH MY GOD! YOU ARE SO RIGHT! WHITE-COLLAR WORKERS SHOULDN'T ENJOY MUSIC, ESPECIALLY NOT ROCK-AND-ROLL *gasp*; THEY MOST DEFINITELY SHOULDN'T SPEAK SO ELLOQUENTLY ABOUT HAVING A FEW BEERS AFTER WORK; AND IT PROBABLY SHOULD BE ILLEGAL FOR THEM TO ENGAGE IN SEXUAL ACTIVITY!
I CERTAINLY NEVER SEE GROUPS OF LAWYERS, BROKERS, DOCTORS, ETC. OUT IN THE RIVERMARKET ENJOYING THEMSELVES! HA! PERHAPS YOU MEANT TO ASSERT THAT ANCHORS SHOULDN'T ACT LIKE THAT. IF SO, YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE MADE WIN SOUND LIKE SOMEONE WHO NEEDED TO GET AN ENTRY JOB IN A MALT SHOP!
YOUR COMMENTS ARE LUDICROUS! IS THIS FOR REAL? ARE THE ANCHORS AND HOPEFUL ANCHORS OF THV THE ONLY ONES POSTING THINGS ON HERE?! YOUR POSTS AREN'T DOING ANYTHING!
it should be noted:
those -----'s were actually in win's blog. it didn't actually say anything bad. in fact, his last name wasn't mentioned nor was the station. if anything, thv brought this negative attention upon themselves. they're the ones who made this thing public. quit complaining about the station's image! if you really cared about that, you wouldn't smear your co-workers names all over these childish gossip sites just so you could try to move up the ladder! give me a f@#king break!
Well, anyone who thinks Win should not at least be reprimended is out of touch with the business of television news in Little Rock, Arkansas. Everywhere you go in this market...if you are an on-air personality...you carry the reputation of your station with you. Granted the average older-demog, news-watching Arkansan would never know anything about Win Noble's personal life. But, as a matter of principle....in the center of the Bible-Belt....television news personalities should strive for a choir-boy, all-american person reputation. Any deviation from that should be kept under wraps! Posting your dirty laundry on myspace isn't exactly trying to cover it up. He needs to move to a different, more tolerant market to successfully carry on his double life.
Exactly....television news is all about public relations! Freedom of speech and lifestyle is irrelevant! You have to be what your viewers expect you to be or you won't be successful!
"I guess THV prefers the image upheld by people like Anne who sticks her nose in the air, even when walking up to the alter to get Communion during Mass. It's disgraceful!"
That is JUST NOT TRUE!!
On the note of Win. Has he been "officially" let go?
Haha, that's right! This is a business where the public can sit in judgement of a television personality! They can express their approval or disapproval by tuning in or tuning out! Guess what....if too many tune out...your championed freedom of individuality and expression will cause you to get the boot! Deal with it people!
Do you go through you whole life ending every sentence with exlamation points?
How tiring.
"at least none of the "We love Win" posts were grammatically incorrect, as were a startling number of the ones submitted by those who are expected to know better!"
Really? Is this somehow pertinent to the debate? Grammar? Someone explain to me how people can attack grammar, when the very SUBSTANCE of their arguments is utter garbage, such as focusing on the fact that Win's last name was not on his blog. That is IRRELEVANT, as are most of these other free speech, WE LOVE WIN type arguments.
Wait, I found an explanation: It is because they KNOW their arguments are utter garbage, and are trying to distract those of us who might otherwise see right through them!
"if you really cared about that, you wouldn't smear your co-workers names all over these childish gossip sites just so you could try to move up the ladder!"
For the record, I do not work at KTHV. Nor do I live in Little Rock, but even way over here in the Fort Smith/Fayetteville market it's obvious that Win screwed up multiple times. At the least, he should be suspended. He'll likely be fired, and honestly, I can't fault KTHV for doing so.
When will you people stop being so ignorant? TV news is and always will be about image. You cannot work in this business and maintain a double life where your personal life includes physical altercations, physical and verbal threats, slander, denouncing any type of religion, etc, etc and maintain the idea that you are upholding the "image clause" of your contract. Stop with the "I protect Win and all he stands for". We all agree you should have the right to say and do as you please but not when you've signed a contract that prohibits you otherwise.
Win should be main anchor. The one and only anchor..... On a tug boat.

Funny guy? Maybe. But isn't talent a prerequisite to being on a stage, any stage?
DOES THV EXPECT ITS ANCHORS TO BE ACTIVELY INVOLVED IN AN ORGANIZED RELIGIOUS COMMUNITY?
DO THEY DOCK PAY FOR MISSED CHURCH SERVICES?
WHICH FAITHS ARE ACCEPTABLE?
MUST ANCHORS SING IN THE CHOIR?
IS SUNDAY SCHOOL REQUIRED?
WHAT IF THEY AGREE TO SIT THROUGH CHURCH GATHERINGS, BUT THEY DON'T PAY ATTENTION?
DOES IT END?!
Talk about violating an American citizen's rights!!!
To act more 'put together,' or something of that nature, so that a public figure might give off a better image is one thing. But suggesting he should have given up his own morals and life philosophies to PRETEND to affiliate with a religious sect is ABSURD!
WHO WROTE THAT?!
I, FOR ONE, FIND WIN REFRESHING. HE DIDN'T SPORT "WWJD" BRACELETS THAT WENT AGAINST WHAT HE FELT IN HIS HEART. HE WAS TRUE TO HIMSELF. I APPLAUD HIM!
Did he talk about his religious beliefs on air?
What's the problem?
INTERRACIAL MARRIAGES don't exactly fit the 'Leave it to Beaver' mold, either. There are plenty of Arkansans who oppose such unions. Are they forbidden of THV's anchors?
If religion comes into question, so should every personal aspect of a person's life.
Um people, what did any of this have to do with his religious beliefs? He got in trouble over a fight, right?
Let's blow things out of proportion a bit eh?
obviously, some people don't have the facts straight!
1. win was jumped by several guys outside a restaurant in hillcrest. he defended himself.
2. if you want to blame him for that "altercation," it should still remain in the singular tense.
3. "slander?" he spoke the truth!
4. "physical ... threats?"
please state details of such alleged incident(s)
5. "verbal threats?"
again, give us the details, as you pretend to know them!
6. there is a religion clause?
The bottom line is that when you sign a contract to work on television, you are expected to maintain the public image of the station 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. If Win can't handle that than he will never last very long in any market, especially in Little Rock. This is not a freedom of speech issue but an employers right to have on their staff, only the best and brightest of todays talent. I promise you, if Win doesn't want to play the game then he will never get another chance in any other market. That's part of the biz people.
Do you really think there aren't hundreds of qualified anchors out there who would love a shot at moving up and are more than willing to do whatever it takes to be succsesful.
These people know what everyone else in this biz (except Win) knows, when you are a public figure you have to maintain that public persona at all times when you are in public.
Win, you screwed up. My advice to you is take it to heart, learn from it and realize what you did and why you are being punished for it. UNtil you do that you will not only never work in this industry again, but I'm afraid you'd have a hard time making it in whatever you decide to do.
it's not about freedom of speech!
It's about him being singled out, while others have remained on good standing with kthv despite their ability to uphold the terms of the image contract.
they've all f'ed up! why win?
I don't know about the past at THV or what you are refering to when you say everybody at THV has screwed up, but, If it is as bad as you make it sound, then Win should only be the first of many firings.
Another thing to remember is that the problems you speak of such as divorce etc... are "private" matters even though they get drug into the open.
Win has his remarks on a "public" message board available to anyone who wanted to find it.
You simply can not do things like that when you are in the public eye and are responsible for maintaining the image of your station.
Goodbye Win......You will not be missed.
since myspace does require registration/membership, should it really be considered "public?"
I'm not going to go into all the details, but here's the gist of it:
On April 8 around 11:45P, Win was among a group of guys who were sh**-faced drunk at Ciao Bacci. Win and another guy started mouthing off at one another, and before you know it, they were in front of the restaurant wailing on each other. So much for the "jumped" argument. Win goaded the other guy to take it outside.
Most all of the patrons are standing on the porch watching this happen.
The very next day, Win goes to El Porton with a girl who looks underage but who forgot her ID. The waiter refuses her drink and brings something non-alcoholic. Win and his girl, thinking they are sly and cool, take the drink outside and put booze in it.
The wait staff see this and report it to the manager who asks them both to leave. Win gets angry, stands up to the manager and starts berating him in front of the rest of the diners, asking the managers and waiters who have gathered whether they want to take it outside, calling them an array of racial slurs and capping it off by saying they should go back to their own country.
I'm sure Win was just kidding.
THAT IS NOT WHAT HAPPENED AT EL PORTON!!
I AM THAT GIRL. MY NAME IS HEATHER. WOULD YOU LIKE THE STORY?
I ALSO HAVE A MORE ACCURATE VERSION OF THE CIAO BACI INCIDENT, AS WELL, IF YOU'D LIKE ME TO FILL YOU IN ON WHAT REALLY HAPPENED.
YOU SEEM VERY QUICK TO POST DETAILS ABOUT INCIDENTS WHICH YOU DIDN'T EVEN WITNESS!
For god's sake, fill us in, girlfriend.
Yes, please. Fill us in!! I'm dying to know why everyone is posting such slanderous things about this guy without knowing the full detailed story. If you want to make these "blog" comments fair, we need to know details. Details I say!!!!
Since my last post was deleted, I'll say it again...
The argument that he didn't mention KTHV or his last name holds NO WATER. He has pictures of himself on his myspace page. It doesn't take Albert Einstein to figure out who he is. The guy has been on television five days out of the week for the last several years.
Don't insult my intelligence.
Oooh ... first I've got to respond to that last comment!
Do me a favor, look up "Bode Miller" on myspace, you'll find more than just a few very believable 'myspacers' claiming to be Bode, all of whom have pictures, comments, etc. that would convince anyone of their authenticity. Does Bode have a myspace page? I don't know. How can anyone really and truly know, unless we go to his house in New England and actually visit with the man himself.
Bode is one example among many. Have at it! Try searching for any celebrity or athlete, and let me know how that works out for you!
Touche my friend...
But the fact of the matter is the blog does, or as of this post, DID belong to him. Those who know him know where he works (or worked?) - so the fact that he did not mention his place of employment by name does not negate the fact that he made rather threatening comments directed at his co-workers.
If Win could have kept his cool he would have beaten the rap in regards to the fighting incidents - but the blog, regardless of how he intended it to be taken, was inappropriate.
It is regrettable that anyone has to lose a job in this day and age - unfortunately, it appears that Win made a few wrong choices.
I'll spill just a few of the facts. I don't want to be crucified for my words, too!
Just a few corrections for the posts concerning the 'incident' at El Porton:
1) I don't think I look under 21, but thanks!
2) I didn't hear a single racial slur uttered.
3) Win did not cause any sort of a scene. He's always a gentleman around me, and lately (the time period in question, with regards to this gossip blogspot) we have spent most of our time together. Some of the lies posted on this page are ludicrous!
4) We weren't asked to leave.
5) Win didn't ask them if they wanted to take it outside nor did he start any kind of fight with them!
6) As we were leaving, the waiters followed us out to the parking lot, to our car, taunting Win and trying to provoke him into fighting them (5 waiters or so).
7) The waiters had no problem with us or anything that was going on at our table on the patio, until they recognized Win, who has done a couple of THV stories on El Porton's habit of selling alcohol to minors).
I hope that cleared some things up for those of you who still respect and demand accurate accounts of our current events!
*****************************************************
Okay, let the lynching begin (seriously, I'm literally referring to you spiteful posters bombarding the site with negative comments aimed at me. Are metaphors not acceptable anymore? Similies?)!
Before you respond too harshly, though, remember which one of us was gutsy enough to show her face (albeit virtually) alongside her comment!
since myspace does require registration/membership, should it really be considered "public?"
9:13 PM, April 25, 2006
Yes, it is "public". My mother who doesn't have a Myspace account reads everything I write. Go figure, idiot!!!
I can only assume you are of little intelligence.
I waited so patiently for the moderator to post my comment ... and now no responses?!
Are you desperately searching for something to criticize? I'll help you out, negativity-posters:

The above is a link to my MySpace page. You've thrown low-blows at Win about topics ranging from his sexuality to his personal religious ideologies. Why not take a few cheap shots at his girlfriend?!
So sorry to hinder the dirty-gossip hunt! The address is:

Where were you on that one, moderator?
THE BLOG CAME AFTER HE WAS IN IT DEEP WITH THE STATION!
THEY WERE READY TO FIRE HIM ON THE BASIS OF THE EL PORTON MISUNDERSTANDING AND THE CIAO BACI ATTACK.
SCRUTINIZING EVERY ANGLE OF HIS BLOGS IS IRRELEVANT TO THE REAL STORY. AREN'T WE JOURNALISTS?! LET'S STAY ON THE PATH FOR A MINUTE!
IS IT FAIR FOR AN ANCHOR TO BE SLAPPED WITH "PAID SUSPENSION" (I.E. AN OBVIOUS REQUEST FOR HIS/HER RESIGNATION) FOR SUCH ACTS AS THOSE IN WHICH WIN ENGAGED?
i don't know if win's fighting incident was justified, but anybody that talks shit about bj sams needs to get their ass kicked. bj is the man.
Heather you need to get off the internet and get back in the kitchen.
I'm not going to judge the guy anymore. I don't approve of what he did. It was moronic and juevenile but it's his business, not mine.
I think potentially losing his job, and having almost 300 posts picking everything about Win apart equals or surpasses the offenses at this point. This is piling-on and it's really over the top.
I for one am moving on and crossing my fingers that the guy doesn't show up somewhere with an AK47 or put one to his temple. This is the equivalent of a mob surrounding one person and sptting on him, throwing things and beating him. It's only human nature to want to either destroy others or yourself.
I know it's hard to see, Win, but this can really be a positive experience for you. You have enough friends who support you and you can use this experience to start again in a career. If you go underground or obsess about this, it can ruin you. If you can't do it, put yourself in someone hands who can and let go of the pride--and learn.
As we old-timers who've been through the ringer can attest, this all may be the best thing to ever happen to you.
This, too, shall pass. In the meantime, anyone vote for the mob dispersing?
Signed,
An older Co-worker
Anonymous,
Ha ha! Thanks for lightening the mood! Due to the trend of people in the news biz not being able to interpret tone from a written passage, I dare not joke back with you; however, I appreciate you bringing the use of sarcastic humor back onto the news scene!
Much love, gratitude, and respect!
Heather
No offense, but I wasn't joking.
You bring up a good point, though. If a comedian makes a joke at a club and no one laughs, it's not the audiences' fault, it's the comediens'.
Point being, no one thinks what Win wrote was funny except those who know him closest, I guess. That's not us, and it's not reasonable in my book to insinuate we're stupid we're stupid because we don't get it or think it's funny.
hey, who's calling people calling people stupid?
that's just that's just preposterous!
Thanks for that last post! I agree!
If someone wanted to insult your intelligence, he wouldn't have to mention Win's blogs.
"those who know him closest?"
what?!
Next time, try "those who know him best"
OR "those who are closest to him,"
NOT a mixture of the two phrases!
Keep posting! You are only weakening your side's credibility! Even if you didn't like Win's blogs, you should be in awe of his writing skills! I hope he writes a book soon!
WIN'S GIRLFRIEND TYPES IN ALL CAPS AND USES LOTS OF EXCLAIMATION MARKS!!!!!
God! That's the worst thing you could say about her?!
You just spelled "exclamation" wrong!
Ha ha! I am so glad I went to this site! This is hysterical!
I am not real stewpid like that Wisener feller!

Hey win you can't win because your're not NOBEL enough
remember several newscasts on THV, when Win Noble was shown taking
A fall for the station, when law enforcement wanted to demonstrate the new
“taser” guns. As a viewer and a co-worker I suspect that no one in management objected
then to the promos. In fact, they apparently jumped at them. The news video
was shown repeatedly.
I suspect THV management never noticed the oozing burns and sores, that were apparent within an hour or so, after the assignment. Maybe that is why it is no surprise that no one considered the events of the past weeks as “conduct unbecoming”, but still correctable. Careers count, but lives mean more.
Absolutely! Lives do mean more than lives!
That's precisely why I was so surprised to hear of him getting in trouble over defending himself outside of Ciao Baci.
Who here would be thinking about the station's image when trying to fight off a bunch of angry meatheads?!
oops!
i meant lives do mean more than careers!
Just one more away from 200 post!!!!
