KHBS/KHOG Looking for New ND
TV Spy reports Dawn Dugle has exited KHBS/KHOG. Dugle joined the Northwest Arkansas station in early 2010 as News Director. KHBS/KHOG VP and GM Brian Sather would not comment to TV Spy about her departure.

So was there an incident which led to her firing, or was it just something that needed to happen?
Dawn had been on thin ice for the past several months due to both MULTIPLE complaints from employees for her terrible behavior and unacceptable ratings. Dawn was always a rude, condescending, nightmare of a boss who didn't know what was best for the station and hiring her always was a disgrace. Unfortunately for Dawn, her negative reputation has spread all around the country (even ESPN, which is 20% owned by Hearst, knew about how she treated her co-workers). I hope she never gets another news director position again and I pray for whatever station gets stuck with her next...What's hilarious (and this is coming from current employees) is that she was definitely FIRED and did not leave to "pursue other opportunities". That's just a bunch of garbage that they tag on to any firing to cover and divert drama/speculation. Gotta love what happened to Dawn...Karma, really. The day she got fired there were celebrations all over the station that continued into the weekend...One thing is for sure, 40/29 is a better place without her. Good riddance!

Coming from someone who used to work with her, I could not have said it better myself. Dawn Dugle was a Manipulative, Condescending, Backstabbing, Incompetent Evil WITCH!

She's absolutely the WORST person I've ever came in contact with and an even WORSE News Director. EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL!
Dawn Dugle treated her employees HORRIBLY, and she's the reason why the MAJORITY of KHBS/KHOG's newsroom staff has left.
She got exactly what was coming to her. Lets only hope she learned something from this. But knowing her (UNFORTUNATELY) I highly doubt she has.
Have to agree with you 1:36. I've heard stories from several of your former co-workers about Dawn. I thought no one was worse then my last ND, but Dawn far exceeds ever her.
Come on, has anyone really liked their ND? Aren't they all pretty much idiots?

You are wrong 11:10. I've had several ND's I really liked over the years. When I first got into the business the ND was around for 10 years or more. Now they are lucky to make it 4 or 5 years.

As far as Dawn Dugle...I can't name ONE SINGLE employee, past OR present who actually like her personally , or even respected her professionally.
There's nothing to "love" about Dawn Dugle.
Dawn Dugle is a bully! She's disrespectful, and she didn't have a clue on how to do her job.
Dawn Dugle would pick and choose who she'd respect (usually her hires..eventually she'd treat them like s#$% after a while too) and treat the rest of her employees badly!
She'd write her employees up for the most miniscule offenses, then after she'd have a stack on them (which were usually LIES anyway), she'd try to get them fired.
In her online resume, Dawn wrote something along the lines of "I hope to inspire young journalists to live up to their full potential" LMFAO!!!! What a load of S#$@!
Dawn Dugle took pleasure in seeing her employees fail!
She is completely delusional and it was scary working around "that" everyday!
I can't tell you how good it feels to see her gone.
My thoughts and condolences are with the newsroom that's going to be stuck with Dawn Dugle next!

i've even heard that the folks at one of the other station were happy for the employees at 40/29 that had to work under her.
Any thoughts on who the new News Director will be?

She is a mess, an absolute MESS. To say she's a "cold hearted person" is an understatement.
She's what I believe to be the epitome of evil. The example of what NOT to become in this business.
