I find it funny that when Justin Earley made a very similiar move he was praised. Anyone or anything associated with 7 gets ripped on this board. Good luck Michelle...I'm sure you won't miss the mindless critics.
As someone who was around when Michelle got her start in television as a PA, I have seen over the years the hard work, dedication, and sacrifices Michelle has made to better herself and achieve her goals.
Michelle, I wish you the very best!

Alyse did an excellent job on reading the news this morning on THV. She will become the best news reader in a short while and will have a great career as an anchor if she chooses. Stay tuned.

Strongly doubt that a morning personality is on here at 11:09 pm when they wake up at 3 am. I agree with the poster in that Alyse is doing a great job and is an asset to the morning show team. Today was a hottie fest with Meredith, Alyse, and Ashley.
ALyse is the best. Never has anyone ever graced the airwaves like Alyse has. Everyone else should just give up putting on a show. No one could ever watch anything but ALyse. CBS evening news is chomping at the bit to hire her. She won't be here long. I see her as a 10 million dollar a year anchor.

I think the reason people think alyse or a family or friend is posting on here is because even posts that have nothing to do with alyse, thv, or even morning tv wind up with someone posting about alyse. i dont get up early enough to even watch the morning shows but all the praise feels artificial. this post is about michelle.
Some scared competition on here? You idiots are hilarious if you think that, when a nice post is posted, it was automatically the talent that posted about his/herself. Very rarely is that the case. I have my favorites at each station but I happen to enjoy 11's morning show. From what I hear she's laughing all the way to the bank. Lucky biatch!
Oh and I rather talk about ANYONE but Michelle.

Well, if anyone on 7 gets ripped, let me add how I think the morning anchor on 7 needs some work.
She looks good early, which is a plus. If she could just keep her lips closed...
Can someone tell her not please not yell at the camera (me). If yo listen to her, she starts every story almost yelling and then slows down and becomes softer at the end of whatever story she reads until she's almost halting.
Then a new story, she starts fast and yelling... geez-- is there no feedback for these anchor heads?
Also, will someone tell her it's not fith.. it's "fifth." It's not de-tells. It's "de-tails." It's not dill. It's "deel" as in deal!
Same goes for the asian woman at night. Great you're from the south but you're not supposed to be verbally lazy.
Michelle knows news and reporting. Give her credit for her knowledge, experience, education and drive to grow in this industry. Ok, she is not dumb beauty queen that only wants to be a news reader so that more people can admire the few skills that fit on a talent card. I'm not saying that ventriloquism isn't a talent, but very few people can pull that off to make it entertaining (Jeff Dunham). She has worked hard and passed up better paying opportunities to get her shot at the chair. We should all wish her the best rather than tear her down. Everyone deserves a chance to try out for their dream spot on the team if they have the education and has put the hours and dedication into it the way Rupp has done since UCA. She may not even like the chair when she gets it because all of you haters out there on gonna constantly rag on her because she isn't the typical bimbo that gets the presenters job. I hope that she gets to put her time in for as long as she wants the job and can then move onto a future in news management that can needs skills like hers. Best of luck to you Rupp. Enjoy the east coast.

maybe she looks better in person, but like some people are not as pretty on camera as in person, I have never meet her but her body looks awful on camera, and that's what most people see
According to the talent section of the website of the station Michelle Rupp is going to her haircut is as short as the male anchors and reporters they have.
Michelle used to have much longer hair but that made her look too young. The short hair is more "mature looking" but doesn't suit her as well. I hope she finds an opportunity to find a new hairstyle in her new role.
Not calling her old, but maybe slightly longer hair will look good now

Why in the world does Craig O'neal have to hollar into the mic. We have to turn our tv down when he comes on just like we have to turn the sound down when the commercials come on. Is he afraid that nobody is going to hear him? Please don't say, "Well, that's just Craig."
Jessica needs to get a "BOBBED " haircut to make her look more mature and credible. She could always do the ponytail thing like the "I don't have the time to style my hair" girls at KTHV or as Jess already has a layered front at the face like Melissa, Wendy, Mallory and the list goes on. I'm so tired of hair clones

How true about morning gals as MM will never be back to her pageant weight.

Haircut and face would be the last things they need to worry about. Attitude, work ethic, constant need for validation.......They're in for a big surprise.
