Cummins' Attorney: No Foul Play Involved

KARK weather man Brett Cummins' Attorney tells CNN no foul play was involved in the death of his client's friend. Mark Hampton said Thursday that his client was devastated by the death of his friend. It added that Cummins was cooperating with authorities investigating the death and "looks forward to a conclusion of the inquiry, secure in his own innocence and confident that no foul play was involved."

Cummins remains off the air at KARK. The station is not saying when Cummins will return to the airwaves.

Since they are talking to CNN, maybe Brett can co-host a show with Anderson Cooper

If I was Brett's PR person, I would advise him to go to rehab. Brett needs to heal his body and mind. His TV career is more than likely over, but I hope he can find a job that fulfils him.

I am sure he can get a weather job in San Fransisco, where fellow gays won't be bothered by his hot tub antics

Way to go Arkansas! Keep focusing on the gay thing when a man is dead! Yay bigotry!

I dont care that hes gay. Its about his out of control decision: drugs and heavy constant drinking.

The dead 'person' with a dog collar made this story take off

Attention 2:03 p.m.

It's not bigotry, it being normal. So there ya go.

Sure it's bigotry. There are so many more sordid details of this story ie. nose candy, collars, and local semi celebs. Every thing I read in the comments section of anything Cummins-related is referencing gayness or Anderson Cooper.

I would consider 2 nekkid men passed out in a hot tub wearing a dog collar, nothing but "foul play"! Yuck!!!

Of course Cummins attorney would say "no foul play involved". What would you expect him to say.

Let's see what the coroner and police have to say.

"It's called being normal"

What the hell would someone from Arkansas know about being "normal"?? I'm pretty sure you've never been on a plane, and you're proud of it- much like the people in my old news room at KATV.

Hooray for homophobic comments. Never change, Arkansas.

Oh, wait- I don't have to tell you that.

Yeah, we like normal folks here and we can read what the Bible says about men that sleep with men for sex.

I enjoyed following the whole entry, I always thought one of the main things to count when you write a blog is learning how to complement the ideas with images, that's exploiting at the maximum the possibilities of a ciber-space! Good work on this entry!
