New KSLA Chief Met Debuts on Air
New KSLA Chief Meteorologist Stephen Parr debuted on air tonight. An e-mailer was impressed with Parr as he tracked storms moving through the area on his first day on the air: "KSLA continues to be #1 in the Ark-La-Tex for weather. New Met doing a great job, already tracking severe storms tonight. He sounds experienced and has been doing it for 8 years."

Robin Williams?
Yes, it looks like he resembles Robin Williams more than the Mash guy or the guy on Seinfeld. Hey, this guy should be on that new show on TV.
Sounds like your email came from management at news 12.
I just watched the 5 oclock news and boy is this guy stubling. He gives more attention to the Tyler/Longview area than the Shreveport/Texarkana area where all channel 12 has its viewers. He also would plays with the buttons on the side of the screen. I might watch 3 or 6 from now on.
Well it wouldn't surprise me if it was a management email...lol. I wander how long he'll be happy until he realizes what he got himself into.
You are lucky to have Stephen Parr at KSLA! His personality is genuine and uplifting. He is also very knowledgeable. He was an excellent met at his former station. - Former Stephen Parr viewer
Indeed he is an experienced meteorologist and knows this area and what he is talking about.
And focus on East TX is important to the Shreveport area because most weather hits TX before LA.

No...that shows you that he knows more about east Texas than NW Louisiana. The viewers are noticing that and that isn't good. He is now in Shreveport and better make sure he covers NW Louisiana more. If not, viewers will start changing to channel 3.
