Former KATV'er Lands New Gig in Boston
Well it looks like Chris May will not be coming back to Little Rock anytime soon. The former KATV anchor who got canned by WHDH in Boston has landed an anchor position at Boston's CBS 4. According to THIS article in the Boston Herald, May will be anchoring the 4pm newscast for the station and the 9:30p.m. newscast for its sister station TV-38. The article says national networks CNN, NBC and ABC were pursuing him as well.

The funny thing you posted on this blog that FOX16 hired him....The week you had him meeting with the ND...the ND was on vaction...
I read the article and who decides to stay in Boston instead of going to CNN? At 35, in this business, that adds up to a big career mistake.
CNN cans people like they were yesterday's trash. CNN is the big career mistake, not Staying in Boston.
You forget that Chris probably could live off what his wife makes in Boston. It certainly isn't a bad move considering what CNN pays.
It depends on what you want out of your career. If you're in it for the money only then the stay in Boston is best. Going to CNN you get to report, have a chance to move up to bigger things or you stay sedentary and spend 10, 15, 20 years at a station. Depends on what you want.
Or to live off your wife.
What does his wife do that's so lucrative? Is she a lawyer or something?
Geez, people. Lay off the man's wife. She's not the topic of the article here.
I know chris may is breathing a sigh of relief and i know he is saying good i don't have to come back to Arkansas
