Win Fights It Out to the End
It seems Arkansas Democrat-Gazette Paper Trails writer Linda Caillouet has the skinny on what went down that apparently got KTHV Anchor Win Noble in hot water. Here is what is in today's column:
"Paper Trails can now report there’s more to the story of KTHV-Channel 11 weekend anchorman Win Noble’s recent absence. While his profanity- and violence-laced www.myspace.com blog apparently raised eyebrows with his bosses, there was more.
Noble’s recent behavior in public was also a concern. A manager working April 8 at an upscale Hillcrest bar and restaurant in a converted Beechwood Street bungalow confirms Noble was involved in a fight.
The manager says Noble and a regular who was a stranger to Noble ended up out in the street as others watched from the porch. The manager says she called police, but Noble left minutes before they arrived.
KTHV hasn’t had Noble on the air since the weekend of April 15, but his bio remains on the station’s Web site. Will he return? Station executives still aren’t talking."

how can he be taken seriously now after that sort of rap sheet? but then again, ned perme is still on tv and he has been involved in questionable activities away from the set as well.
No he hasn't.
Perme? His main sin is intolerable tanning.
Word is he's fired..he had to sign a contract to not discuss the situation and they are paying him 6 months of his contract to get that punk out of their hair. Good Riddance!!!
LOL, Ned. I'll never forget the time several years ago when he came to Cabot High school and he and his photog were a little tipsy. They tried to drive off with their broadcast tower still up on the van and put the lights out to the entire campus. The game kicked off 45 minutes late because of it.
If intolerable tanning includes a bottle of Southern Comfort, then yeah, he's guilty of it.
Great news he's fired from KTHV..too bad the band can't fire him too. He's not aware he lacks talent.

Difference between Win Noble and Ned Perme......Ned's been here over 25 years and is established and then some! You can't compare the newbies to people like BJ Sams, Anne Jansen, Paul Eells, Steve Sullivan...etc. If you are established in a market...you can get away with a whole lot more! That's because your value to the station as a person with a name and a following will outweigh a minor blunder here and there. To those of you who keep comparing newbies to old timers.....there's no comparison......DUH!
Its time to move some of those old timers out and get some fresh faces in there.
I feel bad that KTHV had to lose Win Noble. They certainly took a step down with that new girl they had on there last weekend.
Win could easily go to 16 and go weekend weather. Or just hold hands with "glee Club" while he does it.
I feel sorry for the ADG writer. She's going to be getting e-mails from Win's myspace buddies that claim Win was an innocent victim of a hoodlam.
I think some of you just have a real problem with the mainstream Arkansas culture/values and take every opportunity to slam them on this blog. It's getting old people....accept that things are like they are....accept that when your favorite TV personalities...particularly newbies....live a lifestyle that contradicts local society....they will have problems up to and including termination

well here's a news flash. From a source on the inside, Win Noble has been an impatient on the 8th floor at Baptist Health. For those who don't know, this is a mental ward. Hopefully he gets the help he needs. Wonder what his doctors thought of his "humor". Just be thankful he is getting the help he needs and maybe we will all be much safer at the same time
If that is really true and Win is indeed in the hopital I will pray that he gets the help he needs and gets better soon.
You might not believe in God Win, but I do and I will pray for you to get better!

I think it is sad if it is true that Win has been hospitalized. If it's not true, I wish people would quit making stuff up and move on. That's not something to laugh about either.

Welcome to the business of television news. What is the hot topic on this blog? Win. The person that found out about and reported that Win was undergoing mental treatment was doing none other than the business of reporting news! The human side is secondary if relavent at all.

Just confirmed it myself... Win was released on April 28th from psychological care. Makes you wonder about all the folks who claimed he was blogging... you can't blog from the psych ward!
KTHV has poor judgement when it come to hiring people and it show and the people working down their is just a bunck of misfits and that is wahy their newscast come in third place.
Yeah, the sad news must be that given your apparent ability to communicate, you'll never be able to work there among those misfits because you're stooopid.

Win, I watched you post that comment. I bit my tongue at the time, but I should've told you that you really need to brush up on your grammar before you cricize others. Here's a quick lesson for you:
1. You meant to say "quotation marks," not "quotes."
2. It should read "I have yet to find ..." but even if you were trying to be cute and leave out the subjective pronoun, you definitely shouldn't have put that comma in there.
3. The word is spelled R-E-T-A-R-D-E-D.
This is win here i like to say that KTHV is a terrible place to work at and i am glad that i use this opportunity to get away from them and start all over somewhere else and to all of my supporters stop looking at KTHV and they are a bunch of phonies.
Hi this is win again i like to add in their by saying how can you trust this news station when the news reporters and photojournalist report the truth very falsely and they really are down their for money and title and really don't care about coming in third place tabloid reporting!
