KFSM Hires New Weekend Met
This from the KFSM Weather blog: "KFSM has hired a new weekend meteorologist to replace the weekend evening position vacated by Meteorologist George Flickinger who accepted a job with KJRH in Tulsa, but will continue storm chasing in eastern Oklahoma and NW Arkansas for KFSM.
Meteorologist Kendra Kent will start in June 2006. Kendra graduated from Mississippi State University with a Masters Degree in Geosciences with an emphasis in Broadcast Meteorology. She's from the region and has family in Tahlequah. We'll continue to seek another meteorologist for our weekend morning position."

I think it is great that they actually have someone with some solid education. It's about time. Good goin' KFSM.

I just looked at the photo, and Lordy Lordy.
Ha! Well, I suppose it is the fastest growing sport in the nation. And posting that on your blog is better than threatening to kill people... Are you listening Win?
I like this one better:

There are several people at KFSM with a solid education......
Oh I forgot to mention... solid ratings too!
Ratings?! What?! Oh my gosh, you had to go and bring that up! Just because 5 beats all the rest of us combined and just because their demos are now way ahead of 40/29s doesn't mean they are doing anything right. Winning isn't everything!
Gee, I always thought a successful tv station was all about winning the ratings. Guess KFSM just does everything so wrong that people tune-in in droves to watch them screw up. That must be it!
Its nice to know the new motto at 40/29 is "Winning isn't everything." It's a great slogan!
Finally some people on this blog making sense!:) KFSM does rule
Whatever happened to ERIC SULLIVAN??? Will he be back on tv?
Fortunately... no!
Anyone know what Eric Sullivan is doing anyway?
Last I hear, Sullivan was helping run his parents cattle ranch near Mena.
Does anyone actually miss Sully at KFSM or on-air? I went to college with him and I was glad to see him leave the airwaves. I wish the stations would clean house overall and start fresh as some of the talent has been around since the earth's creation.
hope it don't reign to bad tonite

Somebody needs to go back to school and learn correct grammer. Personally, I think there is a lot of good, young talent on the airwaves right now. Garrett, Drew, Bobbie.....
I think the above poster making reference to "reign" was likely making a joke.

I'll give credit where credit is due (Drew, Bobbie, Garrett), but someone on here will admit that those like Bridget (who is very nice in person) and 40/29's 10 p.m. lead anchors are past their prime. Donna, I will say is good at medical stories, but Craig...does he still throw his temper tantrums?
