Shreveport Station Welcomes Addition to Morning Team


KTBS/Channel 3/Shreveport welcomed a new member to its morning news team. T.W.Starr joins the station from WAAY/Huntsville, Alabama.  Starr is a Los Angeles/San Diego, California native.

I worked at KTBS 3 years ago, and I only recognize Rick Rowe in that picture.

That's because Rick's been with KTBS for over 30 years. Brian's been there about a year, and Carly started at Christmas.

That's nothing new. I've worked with people who go my initials both in and out of broadcasting since 1982.

You have to earn your way in to a position with the L.A. stations. Even for L.A. natives. Not sure how the other L.A. stations are run, but none of the anchors with KNBC, the NBC owned L.A. affiliate, are under 40.

Saw the KTBS AM / News chatterbox and the news set looks like it was designed by a blind AV nerd whose mom works at the Albertson's flower dept. I've not seen such poor set design since community college TV studio days. Horrible!
