KLRT to Launch Sunday Night Sports Show

I cringe every time I have to include the word "show" to describe a new something a tv station is starting. To me it's a program and not a show but oh well......

KLRT/Channel 16 Little Rock has announced it will begin airing a Sunday night sports show anchored by sports director Wes Moore.  Here's the news release:

Fox16 will launch a new weekly Sunday night sports show hosted by Sports Director Wess Moore.  "Final Score with Wess Moore" will air Sundays at 10 p.m. immediately following Fox16 News at 9 p.m.

The new broadcast continues Fox16's expansion of local sports coverage that began this past fall with "Fearless Friday" and "Fearless Friday: Statewide Edition" during the high school football season.  "Final Score with Wess Moore" aired periodically following Arkansas Razorback football games.  After receiving excellent feedback from viewers, it was clear Central Arkansas is hungry for additional local sports coverage.

The broadcast will feature top highlights from the previous week along with a look ahead to what's scheduled for the next few days. The show will also feature the biggest names in Arkansas sports as on-set guests -- plus, Wess Moore's popular commentary segment "One More Thought." The show is also a place for you to have your say in what's covered and discussed.

Sounds semi-decent, just as long as this is NOT a 80-100% Razorback dominated "show." There's enough info on the Hogs out there in tv, radio, newspaper, and internet land already. Surely they can be original enough to branch out and focus on, or cater to stAte, UCA, UALR, UAPB, the Travs, and the other D2 programs from the state of Arkansas that still feature kids from all over our state, and who represent it well. Just a thought.

I agree!! But I'm sure it will end up being a bunch of recanned stuff throughout the week of what the Razorback Nation did. And any former Razorback that Wess talks to on his radio show so don't expect a lot from these guys. Maybe can squeeze in some UALR from time to time but I'm sure they barely realize there are D2 schools in this state. I can probably wager this will be pretaped too so wouldn't bank on it being the FRESHEST content.

Sounds good if it can be done right buuuuut we know how that goes most of the time.

What I've seen of Wes on the Fox cast, he touches on a little of everything. His high school show on Friday was pretty good. He was a good pick up.

Anything is better than Razorback Nation on 4. Hogs-only coverage is really stupid.

Cause if it ain't from Fayetteville, it ain't sports...

Why don't they just call it: "Here's What You Missed on ESPN"

Or here's what we ripped off from ESPN

They need to have Trey Mallet on this show the same way did it for Arkansas Sports Nation.

Trey huh?? He was great on that show but you could tell he didn't know squat about anything outside the hogs (of course who doesn't in this state??)

Other than that Jay guy that's on there from time to time, he at least tweets about everyone else. And last time he was on he was the only one who mentioned the UCA women... what's his role over there?? He seems to bring some energy. I've seen worse
