Shreveport Station Finally Gets There....

KSLA/Channel 12/Shreveport has started streaming its newscasts.  As of Friday all KSLA newscasts can be seen via the station's webpage...or via a mobile app viewers can download onto their smart phone or Ipad.  I am not sure but I think KSLA is the only Shreveport station that makes its newscasts available on the internet and/or via a smart phone or Ipad.

I think almost every television station needs to start having live streams of their newscasts on their websites!

Eventually they will or be left behind.

Now I can watch their poor production at home or on the go !!

Do any LR stations do this?

KAIT in Jonesboro does it.

I couldn't agree more 10:37 AM and 11:13 AM. KSLA's on-air product has majorly deteriorated over the past several years. It is not worth watching on television, much less streaming online.

But hey...who cares? As long as we have glib, happy-chat anchors and eye-candy grfx with toys, bells & whistles... we don't need no stinkin' good content.

Glad to see 7:55 PM agrees with me word for word.

It's like streaming the breaks... reminds me of the mentality of "let's go live remote because WE CAN!"
Doesn't matter that there's nothing going on where we are but WE'RE LIVE!

KSLA needs to do a major overhaul of their on-air product rather then adding something useless like this.

What's funny is that KSLA takes almost 24 hours to post news video on their website. So if you're looking for "Coverage You Can Count On" on their website, you can count on the video to be posted almost a day later. What a bunch of clowns.

That's as slow as The Shreveport Times.

I agree with the 9:16 AM comment. KSLA needs to work on their production quality instead of adding this useless fluff.

Amen. I can't believe how bad KSLA has gotten in recent years. If KSLA continues on this current path they will most likely take KTAL's place as the #3 station. It's sad.

That may happen sooner then you think. The average age of a KSLA viewer is 55 and up. Once they are gone, and with less and less younger people watching the news, who will take their place?

I've been boycotting KSLA news since they broke into almost the entire LSU/Auburn game a couple years ago because of bad weather in central Texas (returning, of course, for commercials). I'm still mad as hell.

Not surprising considering that KSLA is run by RayCom Rednecks who are well known for being quite Cheap with
managing their properties. I wouldn't be surprised that they get bought out in the next year or two.

We've been hoping for a buy out for years.

Yeah, I've been hoping for the same thing but Raycom won't cut us loose.

I really don't care for any of the stations news. I will admit I tune in to KSLA in the morning to grab a weather update but that's about it.
I can't stand those clowns on KTBS in the morning. That Walsh guy seems a little odd and creeps me out. I never catch KTAL. I couldn't tell you the last time I tuned into an evening newscast on any of the stations. KSLA or any others for that matter.

All these extended newscasts have really watered down the news product at KSLA and KTBS. Of the two, I think KSLA runs more newsfeed stories than KTBS. I tuned in to the Sat. newscast and it was national spot news story after national spot news story...more of the same. Pretty Lame, but that's weekends. I rarely watch weeknights but again I see a lot of the same use of national news more than local news.
Pretty uninspiring if you ask me.
And I the glib-happy-smiley face anchors get nauseatingly boring with their glibness & glee. KTAL has Dork-O-Vision but KSLA has Barf-0-Vision.
