Changes...Changes..Changes at THV

Seems more minor changes have occurred at KTHV/Channel 11/Little Rock.  As reported here the new graphics debuted today on the noon newscast.  Also a tipster brings it to our attention more minor changes have been made...including "TodaysTHV.com" became "THV11.com" also, KTHV's logo now just says "THV 11", with the CBS eye logo to the right of it. ALSO new opening/music.

Why doesn't the logo say, "THV-12" since that is the VHF channel they are operating on now instead if 11?

They are stuck in the "noisy" VHF band when compared to a UHF channel like all the other stations in LR chose.

Knowing who owns the station, I am sure it was a matter of cost.

to me the new gray coloring of the logo on Facebook etc looks drab, dull and boring.

The graphics used on THV appear to not fit well (or cut off) on all my TV screens in my house. For example, when they show the 7-day extended forecast, I can only see the weather for days 2-6, etc. I wish they can fix that so it can fit on all TV screens.

"Fun" Fact: The current news music package used on THV is: "This Is Home" by the Gari Media Group. Most Gannett stations now use this package instead of the "Gannett News Music Package" by Rampage Music New York, Inc.

@6:22, THV did fix the graphics so it fits about perfectly on most TV screens.

Just saw the "new" graphics on the weather cut-in and they looked like crap!
Visibly jagged, harder to read than the old ones.

I think the graphics look good. However, they should have updated their backdrop as well. The primary colored downtown skyline has never been good.

Jesus fucking christ. TV news is just the most depressing thing on earth. And this comes from a person who spent years in the business. It just makes me want to cry thinking about it. There's so many smart, talented, awesome people in the businesss and they're just wasting away on a dying industry.
