KLRT to Debut New News Set This Evening
KLRT/Channel 16/Little Rock will debut its new news set this evening. The station posted on Facebook the new set will be used for the first time during the 5:30 pm newscast. The station has been without a real permanent set since being consolidated into the same building as KARK in late January.

Nice news set, but it looks like for some of there background they used pictures from their old news set to make it look like their in their old building.
I wonder how the company that designed their old set feels about having their set copied? Could we see copy write problems a head for FOX16?
That's an interesting thought. The set is pretty much exactly the same. Especially where Donna stood for the health story. This will be interesting! Lawsuit!
If it's items they own then why couldn't they use it? Does it matter that it is in a different building?
7:09 if you are a college graduate don't tell anyone. Check their, there....
Correcting the corrector - the 3rd "their/there" should be "they're" instead of "their."
Their background
Their old news set
They're in their old building
So there.
When Brian Jones (Nexstar VP) had his first meeting with FOX16 employees he told us that Nexstar stations are number 1 or 2 in 75% of their markets.
When asked what He base those numbers on by a FOX16 manager, Jones said, "Neilson rateings."
The employee asked how can he put that in writing or say that Jones reply "it's America the numbers are out there."
The employee was laughed at by everyone in the room.
So I don't think that Nexstar is worried about copy right.
Set is going to WPTY in Memphis.
I am sorry but the "new" set looks very cheap to me. When it is a two shot of Donna and Kevin the back drop looks like something from the early 90's. Also looks small compared to KARK. I bet they KLRT guys feel like step children.
12:11 - Fox's set is way bigger than KARK's.
Why didn't they just use the same set? They are running the same stories
All the stations run the same stories. A few different fluff pieces and that's it.
ALL 6pm newscasts are just "rewinds" of the 5pm newscasts. Hence, the 10pm newscasts (except for "late", "breaking" news stories are the same. The are just places to sell commercials. Yawn.
