Yet, another cheesy promo.......
i was starting to think Turner was doing sports as there is no sports person in the pic.
For Gannett that picture represents way too much money in salaries. Someone, or someone's will have to go with rat ins plummeting as they are.
Matt will not be a sports anchor. He will be a primary co-anchor.
Who is doing sports? If I am Mark Edwards, I'm getting ready to bolt.
Welcome aboard Matt, hopefully Dawn and Craig will show you how to hold the little newbie reporters hands and coddle them on camera so they aren't so scared by the little red light.
I realize Ed represents weather but dang 4 primary anchors is just weird. I wonder if anyone spoke up and let it be known that it's a bad idea.
And if the new guy is not the sports anchor, as 11:18 PM states, then who is and why is that person not represented in the shot?
I'll say it again. This just is just weird.
@6:15 I was wondering where Mark was also. He's almost never listed on the website either. Hmmmm...
Gannett has never been that high on sports at ANY of its broadcast stations. Thus very little attention given here. It's no disrespect to Mark personally. He's not one they want to put out front right now. He's not the sports director. There isn't one.

At 5 and 6, Dawn said that no one was being let go. It's Matt, Dawn, Ed, and Mark.

I'm so confused. It used to be 11 Listens to what the viewers want. Now, it's 11 doesn't tell anyone what's going on. So, tomorrow night is it going to be a new pairing of anchors? This is nuts!

Mark Edwards bolt where? He's not good enough to find another job. He's painful to watch.

Yeah. Craig can try to be funny on Sports, not news.
It is not ok to be terrible at speaking just because you are black. There are lots of black anchors and reporters who can speak well. There is no flair.
O my goodness!!! How did race get thrown in this?
Mark is a blabber mouth...and just not the anchor type.
It's hard not to see that this is a race issue. It's not an issue of speaking correctly but an issue of he's the only African American at the desk but not seen on any promos or on the website. My question is WHY? He totally promotes the station. If Mark leaves so will a large portion of the viewers. IJS...Plus he's easier on the eyes than Craig, Matt or Liz.
It's not a race thing. He sucks, simple as that.
Exactly right, Mark Edwards just sucks at his job. They need a sports director, it's been terrible since Wes Moore left.

That boils my water! Mark Edwards is GREAT! He brings somethign to the air that noone else does...He is good what what he does in my opinion! You guys need to get a life! Do you think you can do better?

No one will ever stop talking about how bad Mark is until he is gone. No one is talking about any of the other "black faces" here or at any of the other stations. It's just that he sucks and can't speak correctly.
Let's face it, it's not many African-Americans in this market but is he hated so bad by co-workers and management that bad? Poor guy...
