Anchor Go Round Weekend @ KATV
With the departure of KATV anchor Heather Crawford a couple of weeks ago Channel 7 has been without a permanent weekend anchor. Several reporters have manned the weekend anchor desk since. Today longtime KATV anchor/reporter Beth Hunt is taking care of the duties. Has KATV officially given her the position? Would be a wise choice in my opinion.

Is this a joke? Why would Beth take the weekend job, do you know that she is the 5pm anchor?

Yeah, take the most experienced female anchor in the market who heads up your number one rated newscast and has helped the station dominate for years now and move her to the weekends. Seriously THV, it's logic like that that got you into the mess you're in now. Please don't worry about trying to give advice to the station that's absolutely destroying you in the ratings, especially when you're fighting to stay out of third place.
Beth Hunt is hardly the most experienced anchor in the market. And BTW, she had bad ratings on Daybreak for how many years? I like Beth, but at least get your facts straight before you post. I don't work at THV, and I'm sure 7 would never put Beth on the weekends.
I was talking about the post right above that said Munoz. But you're right, neither one will be going to the weekends.
Donna Terrel and Dawn Scott are the most experienced female anchors in the market.
7 is just like 11 they have too many anchors. Move some of them to the weekends and get rid of the bad anchors currently on every channel at the desk on the weekends. The weekend news is painful to watch with all the god awful anchors on every channel.
Who do you think are the bad ones?
These need to go, from THV Pam and Ashley, from KATV Christina, from KARK Matt. Not saying they aren't good journalists. Just don't think they're good anchors either because of looks or lack of talent.
Ashley is a good journalist. She has the stories and awards to support that and if a job was earned, she earned it. If it is her looks you are referencing, you have to make money to support the clothes and hair that an anchor job requires. Money is the one thing she ain't got. She is not the anchor pulling down the bucks.
Ashley has the talent but not the looks. Pam has the looks but not the talent. Christina has both and Matt has neither!
Beth Hunt, however, is the bomb & hottest anchor in the market. I will always watch when she is on air!!
Beth Hunt is the franchise at KATV, so moving Munoz to weekends isn't a bad idea. Now, Christina might not like it but the viewers will.
The new weekend anchor at 7 is BRUTAL! He always sounds like he's reading the scripts over for the first time.
at least he doesn't read like Katherina the Robot. Danger, Danger Will Robinson.
Only THV'ers would consider moving Beth or Christina to the weekends. Look at the numbers, I think they're pretty happy with where everybody is.

Who is Matt from KARK you are talking about? Its confusing now since Matt Turner is on KTHV. I believe other people named Matt also work on other local news channels.
