How Many Are Watching Network Morning "News"
I know we are in the middle of sweeps (hence all the special investigation stories and giveaways) let's take a look at the network morning news program ratings from last week:
NBC: Today 5.61 million total viewers; 2.1/14 and 2.51 million A25-54
ABC: GMA 5.00 million total viewers; 1.7/12 and 2.08 million A25-54
CBS: This Morning 2.77 million total viewers; 0.9/7 and 1.14 million A25-54

I can see where Today would pull better numbers than GMA. ABC's morning show dedicates large amounts of on-air time to pop culture. Some, but not all, Americans are interested in news from Hollywood. CBS This Morning needs to take notes because, frankly, their anchors aren't very friendly or welcoming.
Thank you! I can't stand GMA's format, and I not old enough to watch CBS so the ratings are not surprising.

It must have been spectacular at the IHOP this morning. Suares, Eady, and Courtney all together for a good cause.
Wow! I didn't realize that Suares' lead-in really helps the Today Show's ratings. I hope she gets paid well for that. :)

I'll say this, the female morning anchors in this city are beautiful! Mallory and Wendy at 4, Ashley and Alyse at 11, and Alyson at 7. Say what you want about their shows but they rock in the looks department.

I don't much care for Fox, but I have watched NBC and CBS to long to change my ways now.

Since there are two very liberal franchises, MNBC and CNN, I wish there was a second "Fair and Balanced" franchise, like Fox, so there could be competition for presenting the news fairly Love Fox and the foxy female anchors!
I really don't think morning ratings will change. They are pretty much set with minor movement.

Craig isn't going anywhere. Can't imagine Tom and Craig on the same show. Two strong personalities that would clash.

Can't stand the endless lines of people yelling & holding signs to Grandma in Hattiesburg, MS - like anyone cares.
All the while, a weather man is yelling over the crowd with a national forecast. It means nothing since you get your local 10-second snippet from the station anyway. The last thing I want to hear when I wake up are people yelling.

THV Sales team touting the Craig move to the AM show by May. Dawn may be coming with him. They were trying to sell it to me today.
KTHV needs to ditch Tom and Craig and add another chick to the morning crew. Give us the news, weather, some entertainment and lots of leg and we are happy. Keep the cat if it keeps the girls happy other than that, he can go too. I think the traffic report could be phoned in instead of the cops actually coming down to the studio for all of 20 seconds of "no traffic accidents" or "one accident on blah blah highway". They could just scroll it at the bottom of the screen. If they bring Craig to the morning show then I will have to watch 4 or 7.

1:31, if somebody really told you that then they are blowing smoke. If they didn't tell you that and you are trying to stir the pot, then a BS comment could end up costing innocent sales people a job. Sleep well tonight.
Fox has some hot chicks to impart the propaganda to the masses. But what's up with Bill Kristol who moves his mouth but never un-clenches his teeth? And Chris Wallace always looks like he just bit into a lemon. Throw in Palin & Huckabee - what a comedy of errors.
Of course, Brokaw was on NBC for centuries with his mouth full of rocks. I don't know how these clowns got their jobs.
