This from a tipster: "Now that Raines is on his way out, KTHV has gotten rid of RobertBell--- executive producer. He has now been moved to work on the Web. The assignment editor and current 10 pm producer will now be sharing the responsibilities of Exec. Producer."

for sure many have lost respect for Larry as he has tried to denegrate Mark in the last few days. A bad choice. Not everyone loved Mark but they all had respect...you gotta earn that.

Robert was not the best EP. The 10pm producer is POWER hungry. She'll run off a lot of people.

If Larry is really bashing Mark, that is very unprofessional. Regardless of what you think of Mark, anyone with any business skills knows that you just don't do that. Let him make a graceful exit and move on. Take the high road for a change and show some class.
Saying Mark is respected inside or outside the newsroom is a bit of a stretch. These changes in the THV newsroom ND and EP were needed. The product was becoming as stale as KATV's product.
The THV of 10, even 5 years ago was a lot more innovative in their reporting and newscasts. Hopefully, that innovation will re-emerge.

Are you new to TV or just not very smart? In most newsrooms the people that have been there the longest are the most worthless. Nothing against Robert Bell but worth has nothing to do with tenure.

There are some good hard working people at THV. Tom, Craig, Allison C., Charles Crowson, Liz, the weekend crew, most of the reporters, they are fine. Everyone else thinks they can do as little as possible b/c they deserve it? they are above others? they are lazy? a new ND probably will not let them get away with it. Esp. if they are still #3 at 5 and 6 pm.
A good shake up is needed and fire everyone from the top down and that will do it.
7:21, is that everyone everyone, or just on-air everyone? And if you're not in the shop, how would you know about everyone everyone?

The only thing Lane does well is be friendly and kiss management butt. If you need some proof, look at the ratings of the stations he advises. Every one of them are ratings losers. BTW, it was Lane who is pushing the all-female format at THV. That's working for them in the ratings, eh?
