No More Big Screens for KTBS Weather Crew

Was flipping through the channels trying to find some weather info and stopped on KTBS, Channel 3. I knew something looked odd and then realized they've stopped using oversize screens and have gone back to using chroma key during the weathercasts. KTBS had used the screens for the last number of years. I do have to say chroma key looks alot better and gives the weathercasts a more professional look.

Now you can see the "stickman" better as he bores the weather to you.

MONO TONE!!!! get excited about the weather sometimes. The main guy sounds like Mr. Mackey after about 15 seconds. BORING......
Thank God 3 doesn't have any real competition.

KTBS Weather Lab has been a joke from day one. The only time you see it is in the 5 sec. WS bump as they intro it. What a waste of studio space. Word has it that it was designed by some yo-yo who didn't know diddly about TV (guess he was related to the management). Now they've caught up with the 90's going to chromakey. Hey if it's good enough for the weatherchannel...ya know? Now we won't have to see lower-third-bug- logo-burn ins on the big screens. Katie B-S, that's the TV Mascot there.
