This from a tipster: "The attached image is a screen-capture from Channel 7 News during their 10 PM broadcast on Thursday the 17th of August. A Sherwood Police detective was suspended and demoted after admitting having sexual contact with a woman in his patrol car. During Channel 7's report, they used the headline "interanal" at the top of the screen as you'll see in the attachment. Funny typo considering the subject matter being presented. "

Have to echo the post above me... "remember" is MISSPELLED. UGH. Does anyone proof this stuff?

Huckabee should start a campaign to fight spelling errors on local newscasts. This is definitely a much bigger problem than gay marraige!

I'll bet anything if 7 lost in July everybody on this board would care. You'd all be proudly proclaiming the end of channel 7 as we know it. It was only a matter of time until the evil empire fell. I guess now the haters and jealous competition will just have to wait with eager anticipation until the book and tell themselves it was only July, it doesn't mean anything.

7 let a lot of people off during the July book. That tells you they don't put a lot of stock into themselves. I don't think 4 or 11 allows any on air people off during any book, including July. July is not a true picture of what's going on b/c the HUTs are down. It varies a lot, and doesn't count like the others. But, if people want to brag, let them brag. It will change again in November.
I have seen typos on all three stations. It is unacceptable, and a careless mistake, but let's give them all credit for doing it because they have all done. Don't get me wrong, I'm not a big KATV fan, but, they've all done it.
Don't know if anyone else saw this, but last week (I think it was Thursday), the day of the news about the liquid explosive bomb plot in the UK, ABC news ran a special about the new terror threat. They popped up a Google page to show how easy it was to get a recipe for the stuff and there in the middle of the page bigger than life was the word "F**K". I instant replayed it on my Tivo to confirm it. Never heard anything from anywhere else about the issue and didn't really think about until reading this thread. In my experience, the typo's are the result of sloppiness problems that I have seen on all the local affiliates.
I know that July is not representative as a whole, but my point was if 7 was way down then the flamers on this blog would have something to bash about all the way until November.
As it is they are going to have to bitch about typos and other trivial things because their arguments have no substance.
Not that typos are acceptable, that was pretty bad.

Every station across the country has typos now and then but that one was funny.
I recently had my yearly evaluation with KATV. Talk about interanal.....
