KATV to Spotlight Reporter's Recent Heart Surgery
Looks as though KATV will be putting reporter Michelle Rupp's recent heart surgery in the spotlight. A promo is currently airing on Channel 7 promo-ing an inside look at the years of mis-diagnosing of a rare heart condition in which Rupp had surgery to correct last month. The piece is set to air during KATV's 10pm newscast Monday night.

Typical sweeps B.S. Take something that happens to a million people a day and make it seem somehow important just because it happened to someone on T.V.
By the way, when did Kate Sullivan become the worst anchor in Little Rock? If she calls Ned Perme "the Chief" one more time I'm switching to channel 4 and never looking back.
I guess getting a mis-diagnosis is no big deal to you. A million people a day... I'm certain that's true. Sounds like a great story. Please, go to 4, only if you REALLY PROMISE never to look back.
I hear Ann Presly got a new puppy. Maybe they'll do a special report on that too.
Kate Sullivan this is a news report for you, i can tell by the way you are looking you are about to have a stroke and strokes i can tell by looking at you, you are going to be next.
Kate does a great job anchoring and for breaking news, she's the best person in the state to send to cover the story. She's simply the best period.
KATV is old and tired. They have good talent in Perme and Eells, but their newscast is lacking creativity - it drags. Someone at 7 needs to stop telling their talent how beautiful they are and begin lighting a fire under their lazy butts.
Kate Sullivan is about the fifth best female anchor in this market. She sounds too much like a man, not very attractive, but that's about all they have at "the Ranch"

Kate i can tell by looking at you on the news when you do your reports and talk and i can tell that strokes run in your family so lighten up your ujenda and take it easy.
I work at Seven and had to have a operation on my prostate. No one was interested in that.

Robyn Richardson?! Last I checked she's not a news, but a morning show anchor. Donna Terrell & Christina are fairly new anchors in the market, and although are good, they are no way better than Kate. Please put down the crackpipe you are using; Remember Kiddies: Crack is Whack!
Michelle had the worst possible story on earth. I mean, if a reporter can't even tell her OWN story and make it interesting... how bad can she be? I thought she might get a nose job while she was in there. And then to top it off.. the surgeons couldn't even fix her heart.... all this for a bad sweeps story ??????
To put Kate on top of the list of anchors in this market is just plain stupid. She is so over the top sometimes that her reading comes across as totally fake. Jancey and Christina are hands down the best in the market.

Come on, people, where's your sense of decency and sensitivity? This business is hard enough without all the catfighting amongst ourselves. Show some solidarity and support for once. This was not an easy story for her to tell.
