This from the tip box: "KTVE's J.R. Stone, the South Arkansas Bureau Chief (reporter/photographer in El Dorado), has put in his two weeks notice."

Where's he going? New York? LA? Tony T's house?

Who cares? I was assigned to cover a breaking news story and I was told to contact him because he was out affiliate person on the scene. I left numerous messages and he never called, not even hours after the fact. he could go to hell as far as I'm concerned.

Tulsa, Oklahoma, as the morning reporter for the FOX station's new, four-hour morning newscast. Not a bad jump from a one-man band in El Dorado. Congratulations, JR!

I'm confused about the message at 7:28... I assume you work for the Little Rock NBC station... Why would the El Dorado NBC station reporter help you cover a story? You're really competitors since both stations are on in El Do...

Unfortunately, no, KTVE is the only NBC affiliate on El Dorado cable systems, because a few years ago they forced the local cable company to drop KARK and KTAL since they are "distant market" stations. So were forced to watch them.

Too bad Fox is starting a national morning newscast, much like Today or Good Morning America. I'm guessing Tulsa will only do a locally produced morning show for so long before letting that national people handle it. Sucks to have to move, then get laid off a few months later.
