More on the KSLA 'AM' Shake Up
This from the tip box: "The arrival of Najahe Hall may be bad news for long-time anchor Carolyn Roy, who is indeed on maternity leave and may not have her desk job to return to. Roy's former co-anchor/reporter, Candice Jones, recently quit abruptly after being told her contract was not being renewed. Within the station, there is speculation that Roy may eventually want the still-unfilled managing editor job, vacated when Robb Hays left for WAFB in Baton Rouge last fall; and, that should they eventually name a male co-anchor for the morning show, it might be newcomer David Begnaud, now the main nightside reporter, who gets his shot behind the desk. "

Najahe Hall is bad and Ed should be moved back to the mornings. KSLA had a good morning show back when Lori Wilson was there and even when it was Carolyn Roy and Jeff Ferrell. Now its just unwatchable. I think the whole channel needs a makeover with new graphics and sets.
It has gone downhill since Lori Wilson and Tony Taglavore left. I'm sorry but Jeff Ferrell is terrible. I like Ron Young, though. I think Lori Wilson is now in Philly, after a few years in Atlanta, but she's still dating a guy from Shreveport. You'd think she might come back for a main anchor gig, but the only recent opening--at KTAL--was offered to her and turned down.
Several months ago, Lori was offered the main co-anchor job at KSLA, and turned it down as well. She has made some big moves, from Shreveport to Atlanta and now to Philly. Tony recently moved back to Shreveport. Although he is out of TV, he is as popular as anyone on TV in the market. Don't know if he would go back.
I wish Tony T. would make a come back so we could all get one last laugh. He stunk on TV and Stunk running KTVE in Monroe. COME BACK TONY
Najahe isn't even hot anymore... why hire her?

ksla needs a new set and a new morning show. it is the worst morning show i have seen in years!!
I have to disagree..I have enjoy the morning show now that Najahe Hall joined the team. She has energy..she's fun. I think her and Ron Young are a great team. I am a fan.

I recently made the switch to news 12 in the mornings too. Najahe and Ron are great. I met Najahe in person at a charity event last weekend. She was so nice and even more beautiful in person.
Najahe Hall is the best thing that's happened to KSLA since Lenea Fayard.
This girl is future network material. Good one news 12. Lots of buz about her around town. Hear she's really nice too.
Najahe Hall brings an air of professionalism that has been missing for a long time. Teaming her with Ron Young would give KSLA a credible, professional presence in the Shreveport market. Please do not bring Tony Taglavore back. He is not a first string personality.

Carolyn is not returning to news 12. I think she decided to be a stay at home mother. Good for her.
Yes, I have decided to stay home with my son. Anchoring the morning show was a great experience, but I feel like I am better in other areas and the timing was right to step away from the anchor desk. I miss the biz, but I love my baby more! Someday, if timing and opportunity allow, I may return in a less visible capacity. A relief, I'm sure, to those who think I'm 'not hot either' ;)
I wish Najahe and Ron the best, and they know that, and I hope the morning show finds it's groove. I think we almost had it there for a while, when Candice and I were co-anchoring and our live shots were allowed to be fun. But things change. Management philosophies change. Talent - both in front of the camera and behind the scenes -comes and goes. If Lori had stayed, I have no doubt that KSLA's morning show would have it on lock. But the show's ratings have done nothing but rise, even since her departure, and now they are closer than ever to overtaking the competition. The next ratings book should be interesting!
Personally, I think Lori Wilson was fake, let her stay in Philly!!
I'm glad that Candance Jones and Carolyn Roy are both g-o-n-e!!! Carolyn looked as if she'd rather be any other place than behind that news desk at 5a.m. (while getting ready for work in the mornings) watching her made me want to get back into bed!!! She looked like she couldn't "stand" Ed, either. I was a bit hesitant about Najahe at first with all of that "cheesing" and school girl gigglin' but there's something very special about her. I hope that she goes far in television.
Although, I am not a fan of that "Bride of Frankenstein" hair-do and that heavy black eye-liner. Here's a hint: try a nice wrapped style. Change is good, take for instance, when Nordia Higgins first started on the air, she had a baby 'fro. Now she has let that hair grow out and she's even dropped a few pounds and she looks FABULOUS! Michelle White is the bomb!! She is very professional and I've truly enjoyed watching her with Carl Pendley. Can someone tell me whatever happened to Sharon Frame????
There is something very speical about Najahe. She has a certian star quaility. It's like you feel like you really know her when you watch her shows. She'll go far in TV.
I agree with last post. Najahe is great, and she is just getting started.
I liked Carolyn Roy and Candice Jones. I didn't like Najahe at first but she has grown on me and I really like her now. KSLA still has a really great team and is the best news station.
I watch Najahe Hall and Ron Young every morning. They are so much fun to watch and they play off eachother really well. You can tell they really enjoy eachother. They get me out the door to my awful job in a great mood and I look forward to Ms Hall's smile every morning!
It has been intresting to see the progression on 12's morning show. After the big shake up (taking Carolyn Roy and Ed Duranzich off the mornings)things got off to a rocky start. But now Najahe Hall and Ron Young have taken the lead in the mornings as the number one team. Najahe and Ron Young play off eatch other really well. Ron's weather is great, and Najahe is probally one of my favorite anchors on the news.

Najahe Hall is bad to the bone. Allthose peolple are just hating on her cause she is so hot.
