KATV Reporter Has Surgery to Correct Heart Problem
According to this blogger KATV's Michelle Rupp recently had heart surgery to correct a non- life-threatening condition. According to the post the surgery took place on Thursday, January 5th.

Does anybody out there wonder if Michelle wants this posted on the blog? I know this is a "forum" of sorts...but, damn.
News reporters don't have any standing to request they NOT be on a blog... they make a living by putting people on the news every day... and those people usually do NOT want to be on it.
Freedom of speech is just that.
I think it's an invasion of privacy. I hope that she is ok. My prayers are with her.
The person who said "no recovery" is indeed a jerk. But, there is no invasion of privacy. Anyone read the Bill of Rights lately?
I'm not disputing the Bill of Rights OR the First Amendment Right to Freedom of speech, I'm just saying that there are some subjects that shouldn't be put all on a "blog." Interviewing people for a living and having private details of life posted on a blog are not in the same ballpark.

Sure they're in the same ballpark. Whenever a public figure has surgery, it's on the news. You think it LR's mayor had surgery, Michelle would declne to do the story? Nope. Like it or not, TV people are public figures. If they want privacy, get out of that business.
