Comcast Cable Rejects Equity Broadcasting Spot Based on Content
KWBF, WB 42, announced today that Comcast Cable in Little Rock has rejected a locally produced spot promoting its show "Confessions Live".Sighting content issues, Comcast Cable refused to air the spot for "Confessions Live" the Equity Broadcasting program that airs nationwide on Friday nights from 11PM - 1AM CT.
Equity Broadcasting Corporation, Vice President of Television Operations, Neal Ardman said, "With the recent controversy surrounding 'The Book of Daniel' and now with Comcast's decision not to air the Confessions Live commercial, it appears that media censorship is becoming more and more mainstream. We, as broadcasters, must remember it is not our job to sensor but to put the matter before the viewers and let them decide. I'm wondering how much pressure the AFA is putting on Comcast."
KWBF, WB 42, recently announced that it would air NBC's "The Book of Daniel" after the local NBC affiliate opted not to air it.

Who is Gary Lee Robbins the host?? Where did he come from??
That's ridiculous and, again, just playing into the hands of free advertising over the stink that will be raised.
If Comcast really cared, how about those ads it shows for "Girls Gone Wild" and "Guys Gone Wild" and all that crap.
This is lame.
One question, is this a promo done on WB 42 itself, or an ad ran on other Comcast channels (like the local ads on CNN, ESPN, etc)?
Censorship? How about Equity censoring that multi-million dollar "virtual" set they invested in several years ago? It sure was censored into total obscurity. Whatever happened to that "revolutionary" technology central Arkansas was supposed to experience?

The "ad" does suck.
It's worse that one of those old call 1-900-sex commercials that used to run late night.
I've had to change the channel several times so one or both of my children wouldn't see it.
It really is in poor taste...no pun intended.

Doug flushed his career down the toilet the day he left Channel 4 to join that stupid operation, and he's never recovered from it. It's too bad because he's a great news guy . . . . .

Honestly, if you knew anything about the viewing audience for Confessions, then you would know this promo is designed to appeal to that audience. If it doesn't appeal to you, then don't complain, just change the channel. If you don't follow this, then you're just perpetuating the view the rest of the world has about us "dumb ol' Arkies".
And no matter how much you hate the spot, betcha remember the show and even when and where it airs.
I agree. The same goes for "The Book of Daniel". If you don't like it, don't watch it. Change the channel, or whatever. This is one arena where the public DOES have a choice, and they aren't forced to watch something in particular.

I don't think I would have aired it either. It wasn't that bad, but then, all of the sudden, the erect nipple popped up and then some ass cheeks made an appearance.
That spot sucks almost as bad as the show. And where were they modeling the clothes, the Wal-Mart lingerie department?

So the show is done locally...was the spot...were those girls Doug's interns?
Did you see the episode on Friday where Gary's son came on asking why he pay child support for him? Gary's son is going to college. And when he puthis mom on the phone he just hung up. What an asshole!!! Anyways just call in and tell Gary how dissapointed you are at him and what a pig he is. The number is 1-866-693-8266.
Confessions live has gone down hill. Initially it was an ok TV show, after the cupids spot I stopped watching, it would be different if the show was done in a classy upscale manner but we are talking about 2 bit girls with razor burn, stretch marks and cellulite, modeling lingerie on live TV. What descent woman would do that, where are these girls mothers at? I guess if you want a good laugh at and an opportunity to assist in the degradation of women, go for it! But I don’t, so I don’t watch it anymore.

Ardman is like Enron. He made Euity appear bigger than they were. This works for a while but always falls apart when, inevitably, substance is needed to sustain.
