KARK.com Gets Face Lift

KARK has rung in the new year with a face lift of its website. The site now features bigger fonts, stories separated into categories and in my opinion a better flowing format. NOW will KARK start providing online video?

My goodness, it is somewhat better, but it is still a mess!! They need to take a look at other station's websites and see how it should be done!

That would have been a top notch website in like 1994.

It's better... in the sense that the old site was horrible, and this one is bad.

As for streaming video... that would require KARK to spend money.

CHANNEL 4 HAS ALWAYS BEEN THE MOST AGGRESSIVE NEWS STATION IN THE MARKET WITH A DECENT STORY COUNT AND HARD WORKING, RELATABLE TO THE POINT PERSONALITIES. THEY NEED TO START GETTING CREDIT FOR THEIR EFFORTS.

The new website looks very nice. It's not too busy like todaysthv and KATV. Good job

Yes, KARK is the best. Look at their November ratings. Hard work, story count, and RELATABLE TO THE POINT PERSONALITIES(?) is really working.

Could someone please post the ratings?

I began to loose trust and interest in KARK about the time they moved from their old location by the Gazette building into what they called a "state of the art studio" next to the state capitol.
I was very disappointed with the rumors that KARK-TV threw all of their old news, sports etc. footage in the trash. (Does anyone know if there is truth to these rumors) I understand they were still owned by Morris Newspaper but, that was Arkansas history. I felt that should have been donated to a group that preserves AR. history. Since Nexstar bought the station I have lost what little respect and interest I had left.
It seems everything that is put on air is done in a "cheep" way. Nexstar seems to be afraid to invest money in their product. Now with that said I will give credit that they have had some talented reporters and stories that are in-depth and interesting.

Yes the threw all of their older footage that was on 3/4 tape away. It was fished out of the dumpster by someone not affiliated with channel 4 but will not let them use the footage.

On the same type if story, KATV has tons of great Clinton footage their owners will not let them donate it to the Clinton Library. I guess the head brass at Allbritton are still made about 8 years if democratic leadership. Seems to me at some point you've got to put politics aside do what's right. If you're not going to give it to the library at least give it to the U of A.

That poster began to "loose trust" in KARK? Wow... I've already lost trust in that person's ability to spell.

first of all the new look is awful- worse than what was there before - all of those black 4's distracting and the info on 4's own people is outdated still says ernie co-anchors the morning didn't he get dumped a year ago?

I prefer to call it the "retro" website look! Takes me back to my youth!

Maybe Ernie's coming back to the morning show! HOORAY!!!! Ernie's great, but the station needs to get rid of Big Ego Bo.

Just goes to show you... people talk about how pretty these local female newscasters are... but then we see a woman like Tamara, and, the definite of pretty changes. She blows the all off the screen.

I really like the KATV website. It's easier to navigate and looks good too. I don't like what KARK has done to theirs. It's too busy for one thing.

I have thought of an excellant idea...We need to put a tracking device in every child, because if someone happens to kidnap them we won't have to work long investigations just to find out the guy who took your your child killed him or her, we can just look at our cell phones or a tracking system at police stations, hospitols, and other places like that. And as we know it your kid will be back because you know exactly where he or she is! All you do is cut a little skin in the back of your neck and you plant the chip back there. Just like they do with dogs! So is this a great idea or is this a great idea. There will be less and less missing kids every single years!

It should be a law that every child had a tracking system it would be great for all parents!
