Too bad she's leaving. She was the best reporter KHOG has had in a while.

Way to go, Beth! If I worked at 40/29, I'd want to get as far away from Craig Cannon as possible - he checked out in front of me and my wife the other night at Best Buy while we were Christmas shopping - scary!

Congratulations to Beth. I don't know you and this post is not an indictment on your skills. Perhaps you do deserve to be in Tulsa, but you do not deserve to be at KJRH. I wouldn't send a dog there. That station is a habitual #3 and they are making no strides to pull themselves out of the ratings gutter. I wish you the best but I hope you have an out in your contract.

Hell, even KOKI Fox in Tulsa has given KJRH a run for their money. But with KTUL on the slide who knows what will happen

Is that Fox station the #4 in the market? I know KTUL is 2 right, since Travis left.

I don't know if anyone saw the November book but KJRH grew their audience around 35%. KOTV grew 6-7% but KTUL continued their slid down. Fox is still working hard to be #4.

Beth, you are too good (and way too cute) for NWA and the River Valley. Have fun heating up the airwaves in Green Country! You are about to make the hottest news team in Tulsa even hotter! Good luck!

Beth, congrats on your big step up. I've seen great improvement in your work since you began at 40/29, so this move is a big plus. Keep up the great work.

The big story on landlords failing to insure that working smoke detectors are installed in rental properties, is as I see it, another example of avoiding individual reponsibility. If I moved my family into a rental property I would feel responsible for their safety. Even if I could not afford smoke detectors and the landlord was slow to respond, most local fire departments offer free detectors to those who can't afford them. Shame on the landlord for not supplying them but more shame on me if I fail to make the effort to protect my own.
