Seven is.......Fluff??

These Hog Fans are upset over the lack of sports news on KATV.

Here's the post:

"Channel 7 in Little Rock's sports has degenerated into hardly any sports content at all. The other night, Steve Sullivan mentioned one sports item and the rest of the time was filled with promos for upcoming KATV "sports" specials, a bunch of old fat people trying to loose weight at some local gym, Paul Eells getting some award, and chitchat between Sully and the news people. Nothing was mentioned about the high school football jamboree underway at War Memorial, baseball, college football, and only a brief comment on the Razorbacks.

ESPN can fill a 30 minute telecast with sports and KATV can't or won't find enough sports reporting to fill 2 or 3 measly minutes between all of their other crap on the local newscast. It is almost like they have given up on the guys looking for real sports news and are instead pushing "human interest" crap trying to go for the chick market."

That is why KNWA is leading the way in Razorback Sports.

They're too busy trying to sell $1000 pillows on the internet to worry about sports. Can't wait for basketball season so I can miss Lost at it's regularly scheduled time. Seriously a crappy basketball game between Vandy and Ole Miss is much better then Lost.

Sports suck. Sports has lost its way. It's filled with crooks, thieves and dope addicts. Give the money to education and feed the hungry. Let me say again. SPORTS SUCK and I applaud the teevee stations for proving it.

Sports has become what weather was 10 years ago... filler. People who really care about sports get it off ESPN or online. You'd think the locals would follow that lead and provide something they can't find at either of those places? But the original poster is right, we're seeing a bunch of silly nonsense on local sports.

It's truly sad because the UA SID's office is terrible, posting a piece once a day online. Hog fans want updated stuff on a more regular basis. UA should be cranking out info two or three times a day on a regular basis. They instead see their job as providing info and access to the Nate Allen and Clay Henry's of the world. Sad, sad, sad. We're in the information age folks!

And don't give me that bullwhiz about KNWA either. You kids are new on the block and are a long way from being proven. You've got a long way to go based on what I've seen to date.

Aye, mate. They're all playing around. No hard hittin' sports journalism. Jest a bunch of cheerleaders for the "local" team: hawgs, high school, etc.

Just remember folks...The TV Business. A cruel and shallow money trench. A long plastic hallway where thieves and pimps run wild and weak men die like dogs!

I got a better idea than that how about hiring all female staff and let them do sports reporting in the studio in their swimsuits or better yet their birthday suits and tant will get some real ratings!
