Northwest Arkansas Anchor Going to Work for Hutchinson

KNWA/Fayetteville-Fort Smith is looking for a new morning anchor.  TV Spy reports J.R. Davis signed off this morning after two years at the station.  Davis is going to work for the Asa Hutchinson campaign as the communication director.  Davis isn't new to the job of communications director as Davis left the station in 2010 to work for Arkansas Congressman Steve Womack.

Well, it will be more stable and secure than working in broadcasting.

And what is he going to do when/if Hutchinson loses the race? This guy basically quit a job for what could be a 2 month gig. Not brilliant career planning, IMO.

I wonder if his former cohost leaving the morning show for fox 24 night show and dumping an onsight young reporter to cohost the morning show with him had to be tough. With all the moves lately at fox24 and knwa I wonder if he herd about somebody elses salary for the morning crew and asked for a raise and was denied.

Going to work for Asa Hutchinson? Figures... JR always had a smug, slimeball-like aura to him.
