I'm wondering if Ned has been darkening his tan trying to fool the new owners into thinking he's a minority and therefore more difficult to terminate. Might pull it off for a little while, but eventually the melanoma will do its thing. Ned, you are sooooo 70's! Why don't you quit now before they fire you? Go out to Death Valley and have an orgasmic experience being turned into jerky (pun intended) by the relentless desert sun?

They would be stupid to let Ned go. Viewers love Ned. I've seen the research.

About the only viewers who like Ned are those who watch KATV out of habit and who have never met him.

I don't know about the research but Ned is an asshole.

Well, I'm watching Saturday Trainwreck & Todd is still on weekends & Janelle & "The Movie Critic" are still on air so the purge has not started yet. By the way, tell Janelle to put some makeup on & Nashville is not interested in an anchor whose on air delivery is akin to a talking like a teenage girl...

9:57 p.m., way to show how stupid you are. With more sutomation, television stations think they need fewer employees. Many employees will be let go snd not replaced. Automation is a more important subject to discuss on a news blog than how fat someone looks.

Maybe you should just find a job that can't be replaced by a machine so easily.

It's much easier to make job conditions so unappealing that unwanted workers simply leave rather than doing big blood-baths. It's easier on the unemployment insurance too.

" an anchor whose on air delivery is akin to a talking like a teenage girl..." We were talking about that this weekend. For example, she pronounces the word "food" as "feud." This is not only distracting, but annoying and certainly not professional.

Go back to your holes creepers. Not a damn thing has happened at the Ranch besides folks working. EZ cum EZ go.

But the new bosses are on their way to town. Taking a tour Thursday. A whole gaggle I hear. Like ten of them. Hopefully a piece of the parking deck doesn't hit them on the head. That would be embarrassing.

Oh yeah, KATV is moving. People have been saying this for a few years now. I guess they were right. Smart asses.

Quit worrying about who's getting fired. Worry about the product being "produced" at these TV stations. Compare and contrast styles and composition. Not just locally but nationally. You will get an idea passes for "journalism" these days. It isn't much different from market to market. Just the faces, places and spaces.

Also, don't judge the talent. Easier to sit back behind the camera and talk crap than get in front of it and have the world judge your every move. Yes the reward is greater than being behind the camera but so is the risk. You didn't have the guts or skills to get in front of the camera so use them wisely behind it. Build your product. Don't tear it down.

It's not just 7 that is seeing a noticeable decline in its product and talent. It's across the market and seems to have hit them more just recently.

You never want to get invited to meet the suits at the airport. Sinclair brass like to fire folks on the airplane.

Who's Kroger? And when was the ax falling? Haven't heard a peep.

@2:31 he was an editor who made a lot of reporters look very good with his skills. He left on his own accord.

And for some reason management can't find anyone close to as good as he was.
