Get out while you can folks. Automation is coming and, in most cases, will replace you before your retirement age arrives. It's management's dream.

4:01 The issues of how television stations function such as automation impact the delivery of local news. I like discussion about this. Your "ZZZ" is tiresome and unimaginative.

Really?

OK, I'll give you something exciting and full of imagination. We will invent a time machine and set it back to 1986. There will be Ned, Paul, Pat and Vanna kicking the competition's butt and the viewers and advertisers not caring about what happens in master control or who is running the camera. We can then use this time machine to return to 2014 and along the way see the carousel of anchors and reporters who have come and gone. But alas in 2014 there is Ned, now Sully, Pat and Vanna still kicking the competitors behinds. Guess what? The viewers and advertisers still don't care about what happens in master control or who is running the camera.

Ned and Sully have nothing to do with it. It's just Pat and Vanna.

Maybe thv could now bring back thv2 and replay local weather news instead of a bootlegged national weather station that waste time talking about Montana during a severe thunder storm in Arkansas.
