Little Rock Station Partners With Digital Weather Provider

Arkansas Business.com reports KTHV/Channel 11/Little Rock is partnering with WeatherNation TV.  The partnership means KTHV will be able to provide a 24/7 digital weather channel on its digital channel 11.2.  The channel will also broadcast on cable systems in Little Rock, Hot Springs, Pine Bluff and Conway.

“THV11 WeatherNation extends our commitment to provide the most accurate and complete forecasts for viewers,” KTHV President Michael Caplan said in the release. “This is an important advancement in providing Arkansans weather information anytime, anywhere.”

Some of us viewers liked watching the news programs online via THV2. Sorry to see that part go.

.... and I mean the news program not just the behind the scenes stuff.

The had to stop the behind the scenes stuff because it showed what some airheads worked there.

they stopped the behind the scenes stuff a while back, but still watched online and the continuous weather coverage as opposed to just breaking in to shows was sometimes nice.

Thv11 weather nation is horrible they talk about the most random towns up in the Rocky mountains and are never even close to reporting weather in the south where Arkansas is in except for Florida .
Please dump this and go back to regional weather like the state Arkansas not Wyoming or Idaho.

Rest assured, no one WANTS to be THV. That's just where you go when there's nothing else left.

If you've followed this blog for any time at all it's obvious that the most of the posts come from THV'ers. I'm not trying to be sarcastic here in saying that it must really suck getting up every morning knowing that you have to go to work there.

I agree 1:29. I to would like to see AntennaTV as well as ThisTV and possibly TNN. I e-mailed hometowntv.net awhile back about coming to Little Rock. They said they would really like to if ever possible.

This is the worst decision made by THV since they started obscuring 33% of the viewing screen with that useless banner. Other stations laughing their butts off.

WeatherNation is a vast improvement over The Weather Channel. TWC is disgusting! At least WeatherNation sticks to weather and doesn't oversensationalize a bunch of eco-political BS!

AntennaTV? Puh-lease! Me-TV is a lot better. 49.1's did a real service by adding it. AntennaTV, is what's really boring!

This WeatherNation stuff is awful. I remember being able to fall asleep with the continuous music on THV2. I can't get that now, and it makes me angry they'd make a decision like that. Is this suppose to improve ratings? Because I can tell you now, that isn't gonna happen. I wish I at least had the soundtrack to the music that was on THV2.
