Longtime KARK Employee Passes Away

Source: KARK  Some sad news to report from KARK. Longtime employee Benny Williams, 64, passed away in his sleep Monday morning.
He started here in 1968 in our production department at 20 years old and for decades had worked as a master control operator.

Benny dedicated his life to KARK, working here for 44 years.

He would've celebrated 45 years at the station this fall.

Too young. My thoughts to his family and co-workers.

Hey co-workers--come over here for a minute. (hushed tone) Seriously, this guy went too young. Keep your eyes and ears open. I'm guessing Nexstar will now replace a high-paid (snickering--I know no one in MC is ever fairly compensated) FT guy like Mr. Williams with two PT flunkies ("We'll save on healthcare costs!" says Nexstar's chief douche bag Perry Sook.) If you unexpectedly lose another awesome employee, especially one with experience (read: "highly" paid,) then evil is afoot! Start checking those brake cables before hitting the road! Saving money on the back of employees since 1996--were Nexstar.

Stay classy, local broadcast TV industry!

What a jerk!! Don't post your crappy thoughts on a post dedicated to this guy. It's not the time or place.
