New Morning Show to Hit Little Rock Airwaves in February
A tipster says, "New Fox 16/KLRT morning show starts in February. 7-9AM. Who will anchor it?"
Seems Nexstar, excuse me Mission Broadcasting is adding a morning show to the lineup. Seems promos started airing over the weekend promoting the new show.

Exactly. We have more then enough morning tv as it is without adding this dog and pony show to the mix.

I'd watch it. If only it started before 7 a.m. I have to get to work around that time. I wish it would start earlier... Just saying.

Speaking of morning TV people, what is up with Stephanie Abrams of The Weather Channel? Does she just not care anymore?
I agree abiut Alyse. I love watching her at 11 and Im a big Alyson fan at 7. Any idea about anchors?

Alyson, Alyse, and Stephanie have gravy jobs. No way they'd leave their gigs for an unsure situation at a station in turmoil.

Just more proof that KLRT is for the unemployed. 7-9? I only wake up that late on weekends, and I watch Sat Daybreak/GMA, whatever it's called, on 7.
Has "Mission" assumed total control of KLRT and moved them out of tacoville and into the KARK studios?

Have decided to leave 7 after the continually air-headed Chris Kane shows nothing but a frat-house mentality.
This morning, he leads the top story, "The man who robbed five convenience stores over the weekend is behind bars."
Yeah, that pesky judicial system where we presume innocence...
It isn't Chris's fault. He didn't get into this business to do news. He wanted to do sports.
Alyson works about 4 hours a day. Why would she ever leave that?
And with 3 freaking producers, you would think one of them could proof scripts before they give it to Chris to read.
Oh please, like you guys never screw up a script. In fact if it wasn't for the prompter most of the other morning show hosts in this town wouldnt have a clue what to say........look at Alyse.
So true. One of 7's main show producers actually asked and received permission to move the morning show - simply because it's a cakewalk.
Two of 7's kid morning show producers left within weeks of each other for jobs that pay significantly more money. Good for them for getting out while they're still young!
And the news director actually thought Barry would change his mind. Hahaha.

Alyse is all that. She should've been Miss America. Can we get rid of Old Tom and keep him at noon and weekends, or is he too good for weekends? 11 just has too many on-air bodies. Get one weather girl and stick with her. Sarah! And get rid of an anchor. Like Liz. Anyone else wish she'd just stick to fishin'? 16 was starting to grow on me except for Donna T. She can crash into a road sign for all I care.
Donna can definitely go somewhere else.
I like Donna! And wasn't she recently awared an Emmy for her anchoring skills? She's great.
@ 12:40, Donna is always all over the place IMO. She is goofy and plain unprofessional. Hope she's improved a lot since I quit watching.
She may have an Emmy, but she's still the worst I have ever seen.

When meeting with FOX16 staff this past week the question was asked to Nexstar, "When will we know who will keep their jobs?" We got a great answer. Mike Vaughn, " You will know when we feel you need to know."
That's the way to keep morale up.
I would have answered, "as you have not seen fit to give proper notice, you won't see any problem with me failing to offer you any... goodbye. " *walks out

Well FOX16 is being gutted. After this Friday it will be KARK lite.
Nexstar has screwed this up so bad. They are moving FOX16 to the victory building without a set. (FOX16's set is going to WPTY in Memphis) FOX16 ND and Asst. ND are leaving. It appears that Nexstar is only keeping a few staffers from FOX16 and most don't know yet.
Practices of the newscasts will be begin at the Victory Building this week and no one knows who is producing them.
New morning show will begin practice on Wednesday and as far as staff at FOX16 knows no one has been hired for the show.
People wonder why Nexstar gets a bad rap....Here is why!
This is going to be hilarious to watch unfold.
