Once, twice, three times at KAIT. It's good to see no matter how many times you screw up, they will always hire you back.

Tim Ingram wouldn't know talent if it was rolled up in the cigarettes he smokes. Another situation he screwed up. Mark Kelley would have been so much better than another KAIT castoff.

I just wish the fat guy would stop trying to pass partisan politics of as commentary in his "better region 8" segment. Its not like there isn't enough news in the world that he needs to get up there and yelp.
Mark did not want the job.
Tim is actually a great GM.

That's not what I heard! 11:59 I didn't know KAIT had hired a public relations person to smooth over all the bad decisions they make. Morale is at an all time low and profits are down but you are saying Tim is a great GM. Keep up the great work, we hired a great PR person to cover up all the stupid decisions we are making.
I work there, too. Morale is not low. In fact, it's getting even better now that some troublemakers are leaving.
Don't get me wrong, some of the people that left were great. Others, not so great.
Profit is down at almost every TV station in the country. That's a weak arguement to say Ingram is bad. I don't agree with everything he does, but overall he's doing a good job.
I can guarentee Mitch Lilly isn't half the sports director that Glen Marini is or Mark Kelley would have been, both literally and figuratively. I know some of the people who applied for the job, bad idea going with the retread. Good Luck!
Heather Flanagan was a big trouble maker and just big.
I miss the times when KAIT had quality talent. The only people that stay around any more are the ones that can't get jobs elsewhere. I guess it's kind of like Wal-Mart and their greeters.
INGRAM IS BAD.
I heard they are considering hiring a monkey as the weekend anchor. That would be by far Ingram's best move so far. He's a progressive thinker. I like it!
I remember Mitch when he was the weekend sports anchor and I am not sure that he can live up to the expectations of his new position. he certainly will not be a Glenn Marini or Mark Kelly (who should be the director).
Why don't they do the smart thing and hire Brandon Baxter from Kiss fm 101.9. He is by far the most popular person in Northeast Arkansas.
I can't believe you feel morale is not low. I have worked at other stations and I have NEVER seen morale as low as it is here. I can't get out of here soon enough. I hope this place does not implode.

Please 1:16AM, like you could do a better job. It was his first day back on the job. I would love to see you get up there and try and do better. Everyone is gonna make mistakes. I assure you that Mitch is much better than Dale 3 is at KATV. You wanna talk about a terrible sports anchor, he (Dale) fits the picture on that.
Well 2:51, I not saying I could do better but it is also not my job. I doubt I could take the squigy out of your hand and do a better job than you either.
Not that there is anything wrong with people who do work with a squigy every day. i respect them for what they do. I do work in the business and have for several years. Now I do not work on air, i work in production so I don't know what its like to put yourself out there in front of a viewing audience night after night but i am sure that you dont have what it takes. I think it takes a special type of person and a certain type of personality to do that. Mitch has a great "people" personality and he is good with the coaching staff at ASU, they all like him, and he is a good person to work with. Sure he has made some mistakes in his past but that is all in the past. I don't understand why people just can't let it go and move on with their lives
I wouldn't say everyone likes him, I heard from some people with the Indian Club he's not as beloved as you say.

Mitch is a nice guy. I've never met anyone who's had a bad thing to say about him. Problem is, sometimes he's too much of a nice guy...and, as the saying goes, nice guys finish last.

I agree Mitch is a very nice guy. Talent and dependability is another story. Hey, I would have hired Mark Kelley but then again I don't have the acclaimed resume of Tim Ingram. One time he ate 25 Krystal burgers, 10 orders of fries, and washed it down with a gallon of Coke. That's stuff of legend.

We should all just be thankful that Heather Flanigan is no longer at this station. I hear she can't get a job anywhere. I guess being another lying, shallow, desperate bleach blonde doesn't always work in your favor. She joins the club of having the IQ of a monkey. A prerequisite for working at KAIT. Sorry for the insult to the monkeys. At least they are adorable.
Look if Mitch were any good he would not be at KAIT. It is one of the worst markets in US television and by his leaving and coming back there sends a signal that his career in TV is over. I mean come on he has to sit on pillow just to be seen on TV. He left the last time because he and that little blond Tiffany had something going on. She was fired and he left town. KAIT is the grave yard of TV want to be's.
Don't underestimate Mitch Lilly. He is a nice guy but he's become a lot more assertive over the years and you won't find a harder worker. His enthusiasm, dedication and knowledge of Arkansas sports from A to Z will make him an exceptional sports director.

Great to see Chris Kolkhorst chiming in from the Northeast to rip on his old KLRT sports comrads. Please don't make it so obvious next time. I know you thought you deserved the sports director gig, but please get over it.

From posts in previous topics, this Kolkhorst guy has/had issues with quite a few people at fox. Is that why he left?
Mitch Lilly may be one of the most talented sports anchors I have ever seen. He covers a variety of topics in a short amount of time and does it with a lot of enthusiasm.
He is much better than Glen and we welcome Mitch back to the Jonesboro area!

Yes he does still sit in a child restraint seat. But now that he is sports director Tim Ingram bought him one with his name on it to go with his sippy cup. Child safety seats is this week's Better Region 8. Ingram practices what he preachs.

I think it is awesome that Hatton Weeks and the staff at KAIT have such a handle on the news in NEA that they can spend the time patroling Tribal Grounds and this message board checking to see who is posting.
