KATV Gets New LIVE Truck

An e-mailer sent in a tip that KATV recently took delivery of a new mini-DSNG live truck. It's a ENG Sprinter from Frontline Communications.
We cover the TV News biz of Little Rock and the Ark-La-Tex(Shreveport,LA) AND Northwest Arkansas TOO!

That thing is so ugly. It probably works better than any other truck in AR.
That one won't look as impressive burning on the I-430 bridge like the former one a few years back.
i heard the first time they rolled it out, they had video and audio sync problems.
dont blow this one up!!!
dont leave the dish up when your driving it either!!
It good to see that at least one station in town is still investing in its news product. KTHV, on the other hand, is taking money away and it's starting to show on the air.
Yeah, KTHV can't seem find anyone that can control the audio on their commercials, especially during a live show and news.
Isn't anyone in charge of their button punchers over there?
is mickey goodwin in there!
sure hope it has overload springs
whoopdeedoo!!!
Kristin Fisher is going to look cute riding in that!
Aren't those the same tires they put on Big Wheels?
It kind of looks like the van the Robinson family used to explore the other side of the planet in "Lost in Space"
KTHV IS spending their money wisely, how else would you explain the hire of Meredith Mitchell, she is so hot and smart, there is not enough money in Arkansas to pay what she is worth!
What no channel 7 logos??? this could belong to KNWA for all we know!!!

A simple response:
N-A-A-A-A-A-A-A-A-A-A-A-Y-Y-Y-Y-Y-Y-Y!
Looks like the right rear tire is a little low and someone has already popped the hub caps.
remember that this is the pic before the station took delivery so there is no logos....however I would not be surprised if it will be dubbed "weather chase 7" vehicle or something
If I were the station manager at 7, I would place ads all over that thing. Crain Ford, Hanks' Fine Furniture, Landers GMC/Hummer/Buick, KFC, Wilson Siding, etc, and a few photos of the talking heads.
It could be a roving billboard. Don't laugh, they're selling everything, anyway they can these days.
If the live truck's a rockin', don't come a knockin'!
How come they can afford this but apparently can't afford to take Paul Eells picture down from their 4th Street window?
Don't let Kristin Fisher drive it.
To save a little money they went with the "donut spare's" you'd find in the back of an automobile. I bet it's 4-cylinder and gets 38 mph hwy! It is ugly.
The reason Channel 7 doesn't take the picture down is because the station is living on its legacy. The station isn't what it used to be! In fact, it's just plain awful! Compare the staff now to what it was five or ten years ago. There's NO comparison. The viewers are now starting to catch on and change the channel. I'm not saying a particular channel is better than 7. I'm saying all the Little Rock channels are better than 7!
Legacy? Hic-cup!
The fag rusty mizel and hick boy randy dioxin could have used that money to pay the employees of KATV instead of buying this. If i was the general manager i would use that money for better pay for katv workers to give us better news coverage. Make the camera people go from $7.00 an hour to $25.00 an hour. ND,GM,have made another poor choice in what to do with the money.
Rusty and Randy are a good Dourche Bags.
