Which THV Anchor/Reporter has Tourettes Syndrome?
Tonight's THV Extra at 10pm will focus on Tourette's Syndrome. In the preview at 5pm it was revealed that one of the anchor/reporters suffers from the disorder. The Extra will air in the first block during THV's 10pm newscast.Update: 10:07pm THV Met Ed Buckner is the one who suffers from Tourette's syndrome. Yes, the fat guy that they filmed for six months while he lost weight. They are still suffering from lost households on that one.

I never understood why THV does so many stories on its OWN PEOPLE. All of them do it, but THV is especially addicted to itself either that or they don't have enough people to actually to outside their own studio.
News is supposed to be about the people in the audience, not a vehicle to pat yourself on the back or make sure your whining behind-the-scenes people get their 15 seconds of fame on the teevee.
Note to all stations; no offense, we don't care about you as much as you think we do.
KATV should do a story about the GM living without a brain.

THV did a good job on the story. Kudos to Ed for the courage to do the story and to work through his illness.I have always thought Ed handled himself on and off the camera with class.We are all praying for you Ed.Those without Tourettes would never realize what a challenge it is for him to be able to work in the field he does.Great Job THV!

He hides his condition much better than the entries above are able to hide their obvious moronic infantality. You can stack a whole gaggle of babes up against a well produced story and guess which one wins?...look at 11's ten pm numbers and you'll get a clue.
Et uh? You mean that stories revealing something about the ones you invite into your homes every night actually delivers viewers and some marketing value? -oh my...the shame of it all. If I didn't watch them before,after reading this thread, I'd sure start.
Hey, I am a straight, married woman and I think Melissa Simas is HOT! The poster who always dogs her must be really jealous of her. My advice to that person is get a positive attitude to enhance your personality, maybe someone will then find you hot and attractive...much like Melissa.

regardless of why thv decided to do the story, it was extremely well done.

I don't think the poster was saying it wasn't it good story and that Ed didn't have a lot of courage to go public with it or that it wasnt' well done or that it shouldn't have aired. THV just goes over the top on that stuff.
Personally, I think a TV stations should be like Luby's. You're supposed to offer a lot of things to a lot of people. But, if they had an ice sculpture of the cook in the middle of the restaurant, I'd think they were beginning to think a little too much of themselves.
They're in the service business and so is a TV station. The customers are king, not the people on the air.

Melissa has plenty of personality and none of the other stuff.
KATV should should have a nightly pool party, and have all of their "pool reporters" reporting from their in their appropriate attire.
Whatever your opinion on Melissa's physical looks, she is by far the best journalistic talent in the market. Their show has really taken off since Melissa and the others were added to the mix. She runs circles around the other morning anchors in the market and is one of the few talents we have with big potential. Somebody around here needs to get rid of the envy.
