Source: Two KSLA News 12 employees become a news story - while covering a news story Wednesday night.

Thomas Milam, owner of Milam Kars, a Bossier City car dealership, is caught on camera assaulting a News 12 photographer and verbally assaulting a News 12 reporter.

Sara gouedy was in Benton Wednesday night at the Bossier Parish courthouse covering Milam's aggravated assault trial.

Milam was acquitted on those charges Wednesday, but on his way out of the courthouse, it was what he said and did to a News 12 crew that landed him in jail again.

2 comments in, and we're already devolving into smart-ass backtalk amongst ourselves? I think that's a record.

KSLA made way too much of this. "Assault" is too strong of a word for what happened. You can see the video on their web site. Watch it. You decide. The "perp" did bump the camera man, and immediatly said "I'm sorry..."

This was a shining example of a station wanting to make news. The man looked at the reporter and told her that if she didn't get out of his face, he was "going to get real mad". That is hardly cause to have someone arrested. Yes, the guy knocked off the nat sound mic, and I do believe he intended to do so, but how many times has a photog knocked off the mic when putting the camera in the car? This was ridiculous. I know KSLA is trying to set itself apart from KTBS, and this time, they succeeded, allbeit for the wrong reasons.
