KATV in Denial Over Losing Sullivan?
This from an e-mailer: "Apparently, KATV is pretending they still employ Kate Sullivan, because I've seen a promo featuring Scott Inman and Kate Sullivan at least four times this past week. Perhaps they are in denial about losing her?"

Did 7 ever get an official Promotion Manager? That could be part of the problem.
They were never without one. They're looking for a Sr Promotions Producer. Someone to do all the work while the Promotion Manger and the News Director are out drinking.
they didn't "lose" Kate Sullivan, She still had two years left on her contract. She got a good offer amd they let her leave. They still have promos running from years ago sometimes. Their promotions dept. is really bad.

They tried that in their format a few months ago and the format/person did not work.
I think if they got the right person in there it *might* work.

I'd tell them to go to another morning show. KARK does very well with Barbara Roberts, so there's evidently no inherent problem with ethnicity.

You're an idiot, KATV has a couple of minority anchors. Just because Pam Smith filed a lawsuit years ago because she wasn't good enough to move up and had to blame "the man" doesn't mean they have a racial problem.

KATV still has Kate Sullivans picture up on their building. Saw it this weekend during riverfest. Yeah, I'd say their promo dept is a little behind.
I totally agree Pam Smith is not good enough to move up. It is funny you do not hear about the top markets asking Pam Smith to join them. Will we ever be free of Pam Smith?
