KARK Names Weekend Anchor
KARK-TV Assignment Manager Greg Yarbrough tells ATN Sonseeahray Tonsall has been named weekend anchor following the departure of Alice Stewart a month ago. Tonsall has worked as a general assignment reporter for KARK the last 5 years.

I saw her "anchor" when she was at the fair and thought she did a great job. Its good that they are at least giving her a chance.
I used to work with her at KARK. She is a great person and good at what she does! CONGRATS!!!

Oh My God!!! I can't believe that Rob promoted Sonseeahray Tonsall to weekend anchor. Don't get me wrong she is a very nice person and does an ok job reporting. She is not an anchor and the few times she has filled in she was really bad. KARK has so many talented people I know they could have done better!!!!
So unlike KARK to reward loyalty.
Who's the new weekend producer? Is he or she any good?
She can't be as bad as Pamela Smith on KATV.
I agree. KARK has much more talented anchor material in house. But Tonsal is a very good reporter.Not a good decision.
KARK has a knack for picking really bad anchor talent... Mark Rushing tops the list. Bob and Jancey are excellent, however.
Keli is better than Tonsall.
At least she's easier on the eyes than Alice !
Sonseeahray is smart, intelligent, competent and utterly deserving of this promotion. Anyone who thinks otherwise is a fool.

1 -- look good.
2 -- be able to read.
3 -- have ears to hold earpiece.
4 -- look good.
5 -- have facial expressions.
6 -- know names of sports and weather people.
7 -- look good.
8 -- know how to sit in a chair.
9 -- watch that little light to know which camera to look into.
10 -- look good.
Winn Noble is a good weekend anchor
Hah! Win Noble would be a hell of a lot better if he'd stop laughing when reading about plane crashes and train derailments.
Winn just sees the positive side of life. When 300 people die in a plane crash, then, at least it wasn't 301 people who died !

All of this talk for a few hundred KARK viewers on the weekend. Most of their spots are No Charges and if a client pays - it may cost them $25. They're losing money by keeping these people on the air....
Why would you talk bad about anyone in this market? What does a reporter make now, 20, maybe 30 grand a year? Cut the jealous talk, work hard, don't be lazy, send out your tapes and try to move to a larger market! If you write to this site when you are at work, you must be happy where you are and don't deserve to make it big!!!!

I like sonny tonsall, i think she is cute and i thiink she can do a better job than that little bird on katv pam smith and i like to take sonny out on a date.
Anyone see ST anchor this weekend? No easy way to say this, but, her face looks just awful. Full of wrinkles and blemishes. Maybe they can pull the camera "WAY" back or use a soft focus lens. Really, really bad. And she has no energy, either. My guess is they hired her to avoid a Pam Smith style lawsuit. She'll be canned soon.
All of these remarks are absurd. WHo died and put all of you in charge, what is the stereotypical look of an anchor. ST is not ugly and she's not boring , she's reporting the news not starring in a broadway play. Maybe some of you need to get a life and quit judging others. Just stop watching the show. I think they made the right decision.
This will not work as a matter of fact, that is what I believe.
