KLRT Doing Evening News?
This from the tip jar: "Maybe I've missed it on here, but how come no-one has mentioned that Fox16 has been doing a 30-minute newscast at 6pm or 6:30pm. Not sure on the time."
Someone please post more about this. I don't receive KLRT in South Arkansas.

I'm kind of surprised to. I've seen it a couple of times, looks pretty good. I'm guessing they do it as a lead in to baseball. Also noticed their doing news on UPN now to.
They are doing this because of the baseball playoffs.

As the above posters say, you can catch Fox 16 News at 9:00 on at special times.
6:30 - 7:00 Fox 16 News Special Report
9:00 - 9:30 Fox 16 News at 9:00 on UPN 38
and
Fox 16 News Late Edition immeditely following the Baseball Playoff. It's for one hour as normal, but normally doesn't start until 10:00 or later.
I love having them on at 6:30, I hope maybe they consider starting an earlier newscast.
Hope that KLRT will try the 6:30-7pm newscast...good grief, WOF, ET, and the slop carried on the other local stations.
Now, if they can get a morning newscast together...and maybe pick up the NBC affiliation for Little Rock :-)

Hey bud, I was refering to 6:30pm, NOT 9PM!!! Please read *all* of a post before replying. TY.
I said what I meant. If the 9pm show was so great, wouldn't the ratings exceed those "slop" shows at 6:30? Compare 30 minutes WOF ratings to the almost local (but has a lot of national news) news at 9p for any 30 minute period.
They need to put a newscast on at 10p and see how they really measure up.
Yeah, that makes sense. Show a syndicated repeat of Seinfeld against Lost or CSI.
Right.
Whatever gets the best ratings. The syndicated repeats had more viewers.

Fox 16 may not have the ratings of the other stations in the market, but they sure have the best looking graphics in this market. Plus with FOXNews behind them, they can do anything with the resources to back them up. I would watch FOXNews Channel before any other news channel on the air.

So you'll take bright shinny objects over actual content?
It seems the fox stations and fox news channel have the same problem, they have the bells and whistles but no news.
UALR radio TV and film dept. has better execution and content on their productions. Painful to watch.
