She was there this morning.... doing a golf segment with Jason. And how cute was she? Wow. Nicole really brings good energy and enthusiasm to the show.
I think Nicole has been ill.She looks a little sickly to me. I wonder if she has an eating disorder?
I think her energy is nervous energy. She giggles and mugs the camera a lot.
Maybe her insecurity is contributing to the eatin disorder?
KARK's morning show still only has Mike and Barb... with Tracy there sometimes. Are they looking to add a new person?

There is plenty of time for job hunting if you only work two hours a day.
Nicole has a full-time job and is very good at it. She directs theater, did a terrific job with the children this summer and I hear she is going to direct outside the state.
She is a very talented and beautiful person and we are lucky to have her, whatever time she can give us.
I wonder if the morning shows will do more sports at the football season starts? Right now they all do a short segment... but who will be first to step up and do more?
How about a live feed from some of the high school football practices going on now?
Maybe they could send Nicole to do the HS sports coverage. She'd be really popular with that crowd.
Ned Perme does a lot of work with the high school crowd. He's good. So do the sports guys.
Who watches local morning shows... when we can see JULIET HUDDY on the Fox & Friends show every day? Doesn't get any better.. she's worth the price of cable all by herself!
Does anyone know if KARK is seeing someone else for the morning show? Right now they sorta have three people, if you include Tracy, but her role changes a lot. They never have really replaced Ernie.
KARK's morning show has never been the same since Sarah Zapp left. How good was she? WOW !

Sarah took a big job in Boston... she literally beat out hundreds of applicants. She's amazing and just keeps getting better and better all the time.

He clearly knows more about the weather than anyone else in the morning. Sure he can be a little goofy.. but he's not as goofy as Tom! To be honest I don't care for any of the morning shows on the local stations. When I said I watch Channel 4 now. I meant the 5, 6 and 10:00.
If I had to rate the morning shows overall. I would say KTHV, KARK, then KATV. The station that actually provides more information is KARK.
I agree. And I think the ratings will concur.
Which gets back to my original point... just watch Juliete Huddy in the mornings on Fox & Friends. Always starts my day with a... well... uh... a smile.

I am hoping each day that KATV will go back to the old way Daybreak was done. I just cannot stand this new group.

U know you watch the 'news' for the wrong reason when you watch to see 'pretty women'. It just sounds like u ain't gettin' none at home.

Heck, Ill confess...when Karen Fuller was at Channel 7, she was the ONLY reason I watched that station each evening. Hasn't been the same since she left.
Why is there a reporter opening on the katv website? Who is leaving or who has left?
I'm sure it's because they are finally naming Munoz as anchor (a big mistake). Now they are looking for someone to fill her place.
I am sure they have probably already filled that position too with that leland dude. I bet the FCC would love to hear about the underhanding stuff happening at 7.

BUT to answer the question. It was a mistake because the position was given to her to keep her from leaving. Just goes to show weakness for management for giving the 10pm slot to someone not deserving. Kate deserved to have the 10pm slot. If you're gonna have a fresh female face on at 10 why not a fresh male face? Have a tottaly different anchor team at 10pm. The munoz/sullivan/dixon squabble really made 7 look bad
Nicole brings good energy to that show. Give me a break she is terrible. I am sure she is a nice person but that show sucks and she does not help. They need Steve back and face it the show is terrible and cut there losses.
What squabble and how did it make them look bad? Putting Munoz on at 10 was a good move. Remember, Kate only had that spot temporarily after they they got rid of Krista. Hiring Krista was a mistake and they corrected it.

Don't forget KATV management told Ms. Hunt she was next in line to anchor. Then Munoz lokks to leave and she gets the 10pm slot. Word on the inside was Ms Hunt, and Ms Sullivan both got ticked. Now Ms Hunt is on that trainwreck of a morningshow and Kate's contract is up soon. The next few months could be rather interesting. I can tell you in the years I've been here the morale has never been worse. Everybody's looking to jump ship, many already have.
I think Christina does a great job! I watch Channel 7 all the time. I think its good they have a little variety on their newscasts. Who wants the same anchors each time you turn it on?? Kate does great at 5 and 6. They must be doing something right...they won all those awards!
kate could win the award for saying thanks, thank you, hello the most. theres a better way to transition between anchor/reporter out in the field.
Management obviously thinks Munoz is better than Hunt... and they made the right choice. Neither one left, did they? When management knows a person isn't willing to move on, that person is at the mercy of management.
Management told a lot of people a lot of things.

Maybe they needed to keep Munoz because she was a diversity hire.

Perhaps the above poster was thinking Ned's savage tan could lead to skin cancer. That's more concern then criticism. Would hate for Ned to have to suffer through chemo and lose all his hair.

Maybe Ned just has a heritage that makes his skin that color... we should celebrate him and name a holiday for him.
For the record, Ned does not own a tanning bed or visit a tanning place. He has a pool and loves to play golf. He's dark anyway. The summer sun just adds to it. What do you propose he do, stay inside all the time?

You say Ned's naturally dark...time to go back to that incredible KATV archive. Seems to me Ned has been getting darker every year. If he was "naturally dark" then he would be just as dark his first day on the station. He came here from Florida so he should have a pretty good tan going.
Let's see it....put Ned's early weathercasts in the KATV video vault. Let's see Ned's true color.
There's sexual tension on the set.... but it's with Jason and one of the other women there. Totally obvious.
KATV's video selection is SO pathetic. Those people should really be fired for laziness. There are many stories there, right now, that are months old. Plus, many of the links are broken.
And they never update the video vault. They claim to have 20,000 tapes but only offer the same dozen or so.

So nice to be in a major market... they literally have thousands of videos ready to view. And they often update within an hour of the broadcast.

I have come to the conclusion there's alot of tension built up in the folks that are in the biz in LR. Everybody's against everybody.
This web site is not hateful, it is a forum for people to express themselves. TV is about "personalities," not people. Heck, most of us don't even know these people, but because they are in our homes everyday, we feel we "know" them and have strong opinions.
The "personalities" are vehicles for the ratings. That is why these positions are revolving doors.
What ever happened to Julia Grayson? I think that she is from Little Rock. Didn't she get kicked off the morning show show Beth wouldn't leave? She should still be on the morning show. Beth is great, but doesn't read the news as well as Julia did.
KATV is such a sad state of affairs. It has become a reflection of the ignorant and incompentent management who run the newsroom like a kindergarden classroom.
KATV need a better set of cute DOVE's to be holding up the KATV immage!

They need to get rid of that entire loser show and run a syndicated national program in the morning. It is embarrassing what KATV does to our image.
