LR TV Anchors Want Plastic Surgery Budget in Wake of HDTV
I will admit I read this article yesterday in the Atlanta Journal Constitution and totally missed the part where Little Rock was mentioned in it BUT apparently with the onset of HDTV, anchors at one Little Network affiliate are wanting plastic surgery to be included in the station's budget. Below is the part that mentions Little Rock:
"I can certainly understand the concern because it is so clear," said Reg Griffin, vice president of communication for Comcast Cable, which provides cable television to 700,000 customers in metro Atlanta. "If there's someone out there concerned about that, whether it is a newscaster or an actor, I think that concern is valid."For example of what a Hi-def news program looks like, tune into Showbiz Tonight on CNN/Headline News at 6pm CDT.
Griffin said one Little Rock network affiliate got a request from the on-air staff to include a budget for plastic surgery and dermabrasion along with the cash for hi-def cameras.

Is it really necessary to be rude to people who are trying to work for a living. Saying someone needs or has even had plastic surgery is mean.

It is not mean to state that someone had plastic surgery, it is their choice and fact.
First poster here: I didn't say Anne Jansen needed plastic surgery. It just sounds like something she would demand in her contract. That's all I meant. I'm sorry if you thought I was saying Anne Jansen was ugly.
Anne's quite pretty -- even without her makeup. I've seen her in the grocery store a lot. Now, it MIGHT be for Craig.
It's just a fact that some LR television people have had their faces re-arranged. Look at their bio photos... and look at them now.
I wonder how much tanner Ned Perme will look in High-def.
Ned does have the best tan in this market, huh? Just hope he doesn't do a skin cancer piece for sweeps someday.

Obviously the poster who mentioned Anne Jansen and Plastic surgery does not know Anne personally. You'll be hard pressed to find somone as comfortable in her own skin. Anne doesn't need any enhancement.
