The Great Daybreak Dance Off

And the winner is................. Well we don't know yet BUT the Daybreak dance contest winner will be announced Friday morning. Still in the running are: Mrs. Arkansas Jill Cady; Little Rock Police Officer Cassandra Davis and former KATV reporter Gina Martin. According to KATV.com, "the winning celebrity will win $1,000 for the charity of their choice." Below is a pic of the dancers.

Dancing with daybreak was not a good idea at the this time and they can spend their time covering the News-worthy events that can be worth watching instead of waisting airtime on this crap!
( I got a gut feeling that KATV is reading this and let me tell you something you can do better than this and this is not hitting on nothing!)

The above poster says KATV is "waisting time" with Dancing on Daybreak? I rest my case.

That's okay KATV put Alma in NE Arkansas.

Alma is in Arkansas? I thought it was in Florida.

The dancing show is FUN.... those who like misery can try watching Mike goof the weather on KARK.

You don't think those dancers and Nicole, Jason and gals aren't flubbing everything they do?
I guess that can be fun.

They're not flubbing anything... what are you talking about? If you're getting on the "hard news" kick again, you're missing the point. Two hours of hard news would NOT be appreciated by a large audience.

The above poster doesn't watch the show, do you?
No one said anything about 2 hours of hard news...
How about better stories related to Little Rock and Arkansas--like a summer state parks series?
That can be "news," but not fluff that needs to be ad-libbed to the point of embarrassment.

I like the state parks idea... so would other people. But, there would be complainers, too. Whatever KATV does... some will like it and others will hate it. Variety is the best any morning show can offer.

I think Jill Cady will win.

How about that daily Star Trek clip for all your nerds out there? A segment featuring Klingon breakfast dishes sound good?

What is Star Trek?
Is that like Star Search?

Star Trek is a lot like Star Search... except lots more people get killed on Star Trek.

Were you guys surprised at the dancing winner? The audience vote really changed things.

The good part is this dreadful contest is over and some jobs held at KATV need 2 be over also!

Oh, you just want someone to get fired so you can go work there! Eat your heart out!

KATV is pushing their products too hard and too many shows and the reason it is look like it is all backfiring because of all of the promo's.

At 12:34 PM, July 15, 2005, Anonymous Anonymous said...

I agree with the poster above KATV is pushing too hard for viewership.

At 12:35 PM, July 15, 2005, Anonymous Anonymous said...

KATV need to ask what would people like to see instead of leting the ND and upper crust at 7 make the decision of what to look at.

I think the main thing that is hurting KATV is KATV it self and i belive they pushing it too hard and not giving viewers what they want.

Lots of people watch KATV... how can you argue against that? Chill out and have a little fun.

At 4:17 PM, July 16, 2005, Anonymous Anonymous said...

KATV you are pushing the envelope to hard and the message is out their and you don't have to go so hard till it don't be interesting no more and that is waht is turning people off and off of KATV!
